There was a small scheduling snafu, but when I called, Jim was very apologetic about the mix-up and was able to come straight away, so it all worked out great. He was very nice, very professional, and very reasonably priced. I would absolutely hire them again!

Jim arrived on time with everything needed to complete the job quickly. I'm happy with the work performed at a fair price; I would recommend and use again.

We purchased a deal through Angie's for $140 and thought we would be able to get the work done at that price. However, because we had different locks on the doors, etc, it cost an additional $380. There were 2 locksmiths who arrived with, what I would call, a locksmith/hardware store in a van. They were very professional and made sure we understood why what we originally wanted wouldn't work and why what would work did. We would use the company again.

Sell Sell Sell.  No matter what I asked for or told them they just continually wanted sell more.  Very expensive compared to others.  Had I known what it was going to cost me I never would have gone with them, but unfortunately it had to be done and they were there.

I was lucky enough to find Jim via Angies List and he has now been added to my address book.  After remodeling our house we wanted all doors to be keyed the same.  Jim ended up installing a new bathroom door knob for us, installed a lever lockset, installed a deadbolt lockset, rekeyed 8 lock cylinders and supplied me with 12 keys which will fit all of my locks!  He was professional, prompt, tidy and just a really nice guy.  I highly recommend him to others and, should the need arise, I wouldn't hesitate to call him in the future.

I have a safe in my home and didn't know the combination.  I didn't think there was anything of value but wanted to use the safe if possible.
Jim was able to research the safe (which was at least 100 years old) and get it open quickly.  He also was able to set it with a new combination.  He was personable and even provided some advice on my existing locks.  He was on time and responsive.  
While the cost was more than I hoped, it was completely in line with Jim's promised estimate.
I would happily do business with him in the future.

This property is being cleaned up and readied for sale.  We needed locks changed in order to have keys and make sure previous occupants did not re-enter the property.  In attempting to co-ordinate several service providers to be at the property on a certain day and time, several other locksmith companies could not confirm a specific time to arrive at the property without giving a two hour window.  Jim Ness was able to confirm the appointment and, in fact, arrived a few minutes early.  The key we had for the property did not work and Jim was able to get the lock open, change all tumblers and complete 4 locks and patio door in a two hour window.  The price was very reasonable and I would definitely call Jim for other jobs.  I highly recommend Reliable Locks.

After checking Angie's List for a local locksmith, I found Reliable Lock & Safe based in my suburb. Phoned Saturday 7/25/15 and spoke with owner Jim about replacing my existing front door deadbolt & latch lock. A bit of the latch part had sheared off plus we wanted to upgrade this builder's standard lock set. Jim asked me to send him pictures of the existing lock and after he reviewed them he phoned back promptly and we discussed the job including the style of lock I'd like. Rather than going lock shopping myself, I said I'd like him to bring lock choices of the type we'd discussed with him. We made an appoint for Monday, 7/27/15 between 9 - 10AM. He quoted a price of about $300 but dependent on lock selection.
Jim arrived shortly after 9AM with several lock choices and quoted @'s installed price. I went with a brushed nickel set that was $350 installed. It has a sweeped handle from the deadlock down to the door latch. There's an extra hole drilled at the bottom to anchor the bottom sweep part. He asked if I wanted to keep using the same key and installed it so I could.
The appointment was over within an hour including Jim using his hand-vac to clean after work was completed.
We're happy with the new & improved, and great looking, lock and Reliable's fast, expert, friendly visit. I might've saved a bit doing my own shopping, but I'm fine with the convenience of choosing a quality lock with the advice on the workings of @ from Jim from the samples he brought with him.
He warrants his work for 90 days and the lock has a lengthy warranty on its finish.
This company has a 5 star rating from an earlier customer on Angie's List and I agree with it.

Mr. Ness called promptly and made an appointment to come out to my house the same day.  He arrived on time, had all the equipment he needed, did a very nice job and cleaned up afterward.

Excellent service. Would recommend and use again. They were prompt and gave me a call 30 min prior to arriving.

The service provider was patient and worked quickly. I misunderstood exactly what the Angie's List Deal was for -- it was more for re-keying than replacement -- so instead of having 4 locks re-keyed (what the deal was for) the service provider replaced one lock and re-keyed two for the same price. Overall, it was a good experience.

I was very pleased with the work performed.  Reliable came out on the day I closed on my house and did extensive work, nearing replacing or rekeying all locks.  Very nice and polite.  Was glad I used them and would certainly call them again.

worked with me to bring down the cost. Highly recommened them.  Once they left, I had an issue with a key, they returned without a problem and showed me that I was using the wrong key.  Extremely polite.

Jim and his partner were phenomenal!  They called one hour prior to arrival, listened to all of my requests and made them happen.  They were both friendly and professional!  I would definitely use them again.  After lock installation they showed me a few tips.
