Kaspar Custom Builders

We got other bids and Kaspar's was the best. Chris Kaspar was the only contractor who had available a model of siding that matched exactly what we already had. One of the others was quite attractive, but it would contrast significantly from the rest of our neighborhood, which we preferred not to do. It was also insulated while the others were not. He arrived on time and completed the project exactly as he said he would. So, on time and on budget. I do not like rating a contract all A's, because it looks like there was no thought involved. That is not the case here; it's just the reality.

Better than I could've Evers hoped. Quality of workmanship was better than anything I could've hoped for also work was done in quick fashion. A typical 1 week job only took 2 1/2 days. Also sight was left cleaner than when it was started.

I met with Chris Kaspar, initially to go over his siding bid using Certainteed insulated vertical siding. He was very thorough in explaining to me that vertical siding is typically more expensive than horizontal siding, because of the amount of waste involved. He explained the less expensive options available, but understood my desire to keep the character of the house consistent with the existing siding, and the neighborhood. He did not try to upset me any other options.  A few days later, after deciding to pursue the additional aspect (roofing, 2 skylights, and gutters) I called Chris to ask if he's be able to provide an estimate for those items also. Within a day, he had measured the roof and provided a bid for roof and gutters. he also explained that he would personally be on the job, and would coordinate the timing of the roof, siding, and gutter installs to make them as seamless as possible. He estimated the install to take 4 working days, weather permitting. At the time, Chris estimated that he would need about 10 days to order the siding material before he could start. After filtering through all of the estimates, I decided that I would select Kaspar Custom Builders for my project. Chris's bid was the least expensive one I received for completing all 3 phases of the project. I did receive one or two cheaper estimates on siding only and roofing only, but the cheaper siding estimates were for horizontal siding, which I did not want, and the company that had a lower price on the roof only did roofing, nothing else.
My project started 2 weeks later. Chris called me on a Thursday, and let me know that the roof would start Monday, the siding would be next, and the gutters would finish the project. The roofing crew was at my home at 7:00am  Monday morning, and they completed the work and the clean up by 7:00pm. The start of the siding installation was delayed one day because of a heavy rain storm, but it was started on Wednesday, and completed by Thursday. The gutter crew showed up Friday morning, and were done with their portion of the project by 5:00pm.
Chris was on the job throughout the project, and coordinated the different phases very well. He is a good communicator, and very accessible. His crews are very professional, and were very meticulous in their clean up. I would recommend his company to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, skilled siding/roofing/gutter installation solution

Chris did a great job. Showed up when he said he would. Pulled off old 8" siding and replaced it with double 4" siding. Cleaned up when he was done and hauled everything away. As a business owner I look for people like Chris that actually follow thru with what they say. Returned phone calls on a timely basis. When all said and done he did an excellent job and would use he services again.

It went very well. He came out soon after we contacted him and measured. We received an estimate so we knew exactly how much it was going to cost. He came out as promised, was very professional, efficient and did a great job. The windows looked amazing and really made a difference. He really did a thorough job and was steady working. He wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied and we were.

Arrived promptly as promised completing the job in a very timely manner at a price several thousand dollars cheaper than the nearest competitor. The Windows brought my 1950's ranch-style home an attractive up-to-date appearance and a warm, airtight feeling lowering my utility bills substantially. I have had numerous compliments from friends and neighbors and would highly recommend Chris and his company to anyone in need of Windows!

I FIRST HAD ALL THE SIDING REPLACED WITH VINYL SIDING. GREAT CHOICE OF COLORS AND DESIGNS TO PICK FROM. EVERYONE IN THE AREA WAS USING HIM SO IT WAS EASY TO CHECK OUT HIS WORK. HE SHOWED UP ON THE DATE AND TIME THAT WE AGREED ON AND EVEN CALLED ME AHEAD OF TIME TO LET M KNOW HE WAS COMING. DID EVERYTHING HE PROMISED. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT TO WORK WITH. DID A OUTSTANDING JOB AND COMPLETED ON TIME. CLEANED UP EVERYTHING AFTERWARDS. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED AND DECIDED TO HAVE HIM DO THE SOFFITS, FASCIA AND GUTTERS. AGAIN ON TIME AND THE WORK WAS PERFECTLY DONE. HE HAS A GREAT CREW WHO REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. AFTER ONE YEAR EVERYTHING STILL LOOKS NEW WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES.

He looked at the property when we were not home called us and gave us a price. We agreed and he had it done I believe the next day. This was a small job for him usually we call on him for siding jobs of our rental properties and he has been quite dependable.

Chris Kaspar was easy to work with through the quote, contract, and completion of the work.  The price was competitive among other quotes we received for the job. I appreciated that Chris and his crew did not rush through the job--they spent the good part of five days completely job skillfully and carefully; it seems siding goes up on other similarly-sized houses in the area in a day or two, and then the siding is falling off a week later.  In addition to making the house look much better overall, Chris spent time on the little things to, such as finishing trim around light fixtures, outlets, and the faucet. He was also able to hide all of the ugly, excess cabling that had been surrounding the exterior of my house.
One comment on the B in the professionalism category--it's there because I wasn't sure where else to put it, and it's for something that wasn't exactly Chris's fault. The sample board Chris brought us included a sample that we selected, but it ended up being discontinued by the manufacturer, and we weren't able to go with our first choice. In the end, this wasn't a big deal.
Overall, we're very happy with the work and how the house looks.
