Water softener and RO was installed 2007 in my new house by this company for $2300.00, we had to have them out less than a year later (9/23/08) to repair torn seals in the softener and they did change some filters while they were out doing this WARRANTY work. Over the phone they said IF it WAS warranty work they would NOT charge the service call of $65.00. After work was performed we received a bill for the filters but it had the service call of $65.00. We called and they argued and finally agreed to remove only $30. We informed them that the water pressure was very low in the house and didn't receive any suggestions/comments from them.
Wanting to stay with the company that installed the equipment, we had them out again Aug. 2010 for a service call and to change filters-no problems, very benign. We informed them again that the water pressure was very low in the house-again no comments or suggestions/solutions.
In Sept. 2011 we scheduled a service call and had them out again to change filters, I brought up again that the water pressure was low and that I tried to do my own research and had printed articles about how they were using a filter that was NOT recommended for whole house application. I asked if they could order this other recommended filter instead. They became very rude stating they know what they are doing, they were not interested in seeing any information that I had. Well if I brought up a problem multiple times and asked for help and never once was a suggestion offered, than I choose to do my own research which discovered some issues-they did not want to even hear about it. But I was not offended at their attitude, some do not want to hear from customers suggestons or questions.
Fast-forward to September 2012-I called them to ask for a service call and filter change on the RO system only and not my whole house filter and I never heard back from them, when I called them back the gentleman on the phone stated they were NOT going to service me due to payment issues and being a and quot;difficultand quot; customer. I asked him to have the manager call me back - which of course they never did...
FYI-We paid every bill in full at the time of service and only had that minor glitch of the service call charge for warranty work in 2007 and if they categorize and quot;difficultand quot; customers as customers who have a problem that they can't figure out as a professional then this reflects poorly on THEM, not me.

Feil was one of several companies I called for information on replacing my 27 year old water softener. Their information on the phone was very matter of fact with very little salesmanship. They were very concerned to not oversell a unit with features or size that my water did not need. Visited their showroom and brought a water sample and looked at the models. Their price was about the same as all of the independents but their knowledge and quality of service were superior. The brand of water softener they sell is excellent quality and half the price of a Culligan unit. Installation was great - they were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and hauled away the old units.

Walked into showroom. Salesperson took time to explain features of each unit, didn't try to upsell me. Decided on unit. Arranged installation date. Tech arrived on time and took care of install in less than an hour. Explained how system worked and left no mess. Unit has worked flawlessly - couldn't be happier
