White Glove Cleaning Service

*****BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY***** I used White Glove for a little over 2 years with no problems. However, on 2/23/17 I came home after a regularly scheduled cleaning, and to my horror, discovered that my 2 1-2 month old $2600 stainless steel stove had scratches ALL OVER the top and front control panel. The stove looked as though it had been rubbed all over with a steel wool pad. White Glove used their own cleaning supplies at my house and I had informed them when we first purchased the stove that we didn't even want chemicals used on the stove. We ONLY cleaned it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. This instruction was clearly NOT followed during the cleaning on 2/23. I immediately contacted Violet, the company's contact person and sent her several pictures via text of the damage and asked her to contact me. She returned my text the following day asking if she could come over that Saturday to inspect the stove. I agreed to have her over. What follows is a frustrating timeline of events detailing my attempt to get some sort of restitution or resolution in this matter: Saturday 2/25 6:28 am- Violet texts me to say she had a family emergency and will need to reschedule for a day during the week. I reply that Monday morning will be fine. (2/27) M 2/27- Violet does not show up at my house, nor does she respond to my calls or texts inquiring about whether she is planning to come over. T 2/28- Text Violet. No response. T 2/28- I had referred a friend to White Glove before this incident. She was in the process of setting up her first cleaning. After I sent my text to Violet (with no response), I asked my friend to text Violet and ask a question about her upcoming cleaning to see if Violet would respond. (At this point still giving Violet the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe there was a problem with her phone or something like that.) My friend received an IMMEDIATE response. W 3/1- Text Violet. No response. Th 3/2- Text Violet. No response. F 3/3- Text Violet. No response. 3/5, 3/6- Same. No response. 3/7- (First contact from Violet since 2/25) Violet sends me a text asking if she can come over on Saturday 3/10 to see the stove. I agree. S 3/10- Violet comes over, takes multiple photos of the stove and a copy of the receipt. Informs us they have insurance but have a high deductible ($1000) and they haven't had something like this happen for a very long time. She will need to do some research and make some calls and get back to me within about a week. F 3/17- I text Violet to check on progress since I've heard nothing. She responds on 3/18 that she will probably know something in the coming week. 3/25- I text Violet for an update. No response. 3/28- I text Violet again for an update. She responds that she has no news yet, insurance is giving them a hard time. 4/7- I text Violet for an update since I have heard nothing from her. No response until 4/11 when she texts to ask if she can come over on Saturday 4/15 to talk to us. I agree. 4/15- Violet texts to cancel. She claims has had two employees cancel on her and she needs to cover a shift. She is sorry and is "not trying to avoid me." Can she come over the following Saturday? I agree, reluctantly. 4/21- I text Violet to confirm she is coming over the next morning. No response. 4/22- No text. No show. 4/24, 4/25, 4/27, 5/3- I text Violet with NO response. As of today 5/8/17, the last contact I have had with Violet was on Saturday, April 15th, 2017. I am fairly certain at this point that Violet has no intention of rectifying this situation and I will be attempting to take this company to small claims court. However, let me list some other frustrations I've encountered in dealing with this company: 1. I do not have Violet's last name, nor an address for the company. I only have a cell phone number for Violet. My ability to contact her is completely at her mercy. She can choose to not respond to texts or answer calls and I have no recourse. My fault. 2. I'm not sure the company even has insurance or are bonded since I did not ask for proof of those things before hiring them. My fault. (They do CLAIM to have these things on their website.) 3. I'm not sure if Violet owns the company, is part owner of the company or just works for the company. After doing some online investigating I have located the name of a man listed as the owner. Not sure what Violet's relationship is to him. I will say that I have learned a big lesson about trusting someone to come into my home to do work and stand by their word. I will not be so trusting or gullible in the future. Hopefully you can learn from MY mistakes and never have to deal with a situation like the one I am currently dealing with. I'm not sure if I will be able to recoup anything from this damage caused to a basically BRAND NEW appliance that my husband and I had waited years to purchase. I am sickened by these events. So again... BEWARE OF HIRING THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE NOT STOOD BY THEIR WORD IN THIS SITUATION. If you do decide to hire them, at least make sure you get more information than I did, such as Violet's last name, proof of insurance, owner's name, and business address so that you are not completely at their mercy if and when there is a problem!!

Both times I have used this service, they were fantastic.  They are very accomodating to you wants and needs.  So I would recommend them.

After the second cleaning I came home and was very disappointed. This was by far the worst cleaning that I have ever had. The 1st floor (hardwood) looked like she mopped without vacuming or sweaping before hand. The second floor (carpet) was vacumed but she didnt move an empty laundry basket. She just vacumed around it. My steps were vacumed poorly. The laundry room wasnt touched. She didnt clean the kitchen counter tops, glass clean my sliding glass door or front glass door. She also didnt dust either of my daughter's rooms. So I immediately texted who I had been texting all along. Previous to this text she was very responsive. But after I kindly texted that I was not happy with the cleaning and pointed out everything that was missed I never received a text back. I tried texted a few more times and asked if someone could come out and finishor the job or  if I could have my $100 back. Not one reply. I havent had my house cleaned by a company since. But if I ever do I will not pay for the service until I make sure it is completed. I felt totally jipped!

Very responsive and professional.  Quality of work was so-so - perhaps because the green products used don't work very well? 

I was able to schedule my first cleaning within a few days of my initial call. I was pleased with the work that was done and have contracted with them to clean my home every other week. So far they have been to my home three times. They are punctual, efficient and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to others.

The quality of cleaning is not stable when cleaners were changed.  At the beginning the company sent Andrew and Teresa to clean my home for a couple months, and they did good job.  Violette came once and did good job.  However, other cleaners were not as good as them.  The last time, the lady even did not clean up some trash bags.

They will let us know when they are coming. They will have 1-2 people come out to clean. They do a very good job. This is the third cleaning service we’ve had and they are by far the best.

Used the service for about a year. The house was always very presentable and fresh smelling when I came home. They cleaned the floors in our home so well, I have never been able to replicate. Upon my first cleaning after ending the service, I did realize that some things (like bathroom toilets and shower stall) could have been cleaned better but some things no one is going to care more about than you, especially if you are a neat freak. Best results were had when everything was tidy and put away in its place on the day of the cleaning. Overall, a fairly good experience.

I called the company, and they scheduled the cleaning on the 1st Saturday afternoon as I requested.  I was told they would charge $75  if I have them come twice a month instead of once a month.  Andrew and Teresa came around the scheduled time at 1:05pm.  They worked very hard for 3 full hours.  I am very please with the job, though dusting a tiny area of one of my computers could be improved, anda little too much detergent remained in a head of a stove.  The toilets was very clean, including the area behind toilet bows.  They dusted all the blinds and fans.  I spent extra $8 for them to bring vaccum and detergents.

The lady arrived 5 minutes late.  She cleaned a 4 bedroom house  on 3 floors (4 BR, 2.5 bath, LR, DR, 2 kitchens, family room, foyer and stairs) in about 3.5 hours. Although she did a fantastic job on the obvious things like the bathroom shower, other areas were not as meticulous, such as the top side of the ceiling fan blades, or under the bath vanities or under the couch, or the phone handset, or use the .  She did mop under the bed.  We also have a dog that lays on the family floor and she hand-mopped the drool marks off the floor.  She also did inside the TV armoire/entertainment centers and the outside frame of the HD TVs.  

If I could follow her around one time and point out everything she missed, that would probably improve the results, but I'm too busy to sacrifice the time and this is the reason why we hired her periodically.

I would hire her again but wish she could pay more attention to the detail.

Excellent job, thoroughly cleaned the house, they are extremely hard working and efficient. I now have them come every two weeks, and their work continues to be great.

Viola came on time and stayed and cleaned for three hours.  I will admit that the house was kind of a disaster, but it was so nice after she left.  I had been quoted a price of $65, but couldn't believe when she was done that it wasn't going to cost more because of all the work to be done, but that was the price.  She was nice, professional, spoke enough English to understand and be understood and my house felt so much better after she had finished.  I have hired the company to come clean once a week.  This was my second week and Viola came back and was once again great.  She was again here for three hours, but because I had kept up better, she was able to do more deep cleaning, like the grout in the shower.  I can't think of many ways to spend so little money that make such a big difference.

We have been working with White Glove for over 3 months now and have had a very good experience. We have a large dog and the cleaning people work very well with him. Typically they come while we are not home, but there have been a couple times where we were home. They were very professional and expedient. They have always been able to perform any special things we have asked of them.

They cleaned they entire house exactly the way I wanted and they do a very nice job. Their punctuality is outstanding and they always call ahead of time and their pricing is comparable to what I have paid in the past. They do a better job.

Contacted White Glove Cleaning Service for an estimate on a move out cleaning a week prior to the required date. Was provided with a quote over the phone and confirmed the date and time needed. Two people showed up on time on the scheduled date and even brought slippers with them to change into once inside the house. They were very quick and efficient, and did a great job. I would definitely use them again, and also for a regular cleaning.

They've been wonderful! They come when they say they are going to. Usually it's two people that both work very well and diligently. They also understand English, which is very helpful.

THEY ARE VERY NICE TO WORK WITH & THE WOMEN WHO ACTUALLY DO THE WORK ARE POLISH & DON'T SPEAK TOO MUCH ENGLISH. YOU GENERALLY GET THE SAME PERSON EVERY TIME, BUT SOMETIMES DO NOT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN "UNUSUAL" SCHEDULE (FOR EXAMPLE, FOR A TIME I WAS HAVING CLEANING EVERY THIRD WEEK OR EVERY MONTH, & IT'S HARD TO GET THE SAME HOUSECLEANER EVERY TIME UNDER THOSE TERMS). THE CLEANING IS QUITE GOOD & REALLY PRETTY FAST. ONCE IN A WHILE YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR MORE ATTENTION TO A DETAIL, BUT MOST OF THE TIME I CALL TO MAKE A SPECIAL REQUEST, NOT TO REDRESS AN ISSUE. I HAVE TRIED A COUPLE OF TIMES TO HIRE MORE THAN ONE PERSON AT A TIME TO DO A SPECIAL JOB, BUT THAT SEEMS HARD FOR THEM TO GRASP & SCHEDULE. IN GENERAL, IT'S EASY TO REACH VIOLET, THOUGH IT'S OFTEN VIA HER VOICE MAIL. SHE DOES RETURN CALLS ASAP, THOUGH.

I LEAVE MY FRONT DOOR UNLOCKED FOR THEM SINCE I'M NOT HOME WHEN THEY COME. THEY DID NOT VACUUM ONE ROOM, DID NOT DUST A FEW PIECES OF FURNITURE, AND DID NOT LOCK MY DOOR AFTER THEY LEFT WHICH LEFT MY HOUSE OPEN FOR BURGLARS. I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE THAT SAME DAY. THE NEXT DAY, I LEFT TWO MESSAGES, STILL NO CALL BACK. TODAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CLEAN AND THEY DID NOT COME OR CALL. I HAVE TERMINATED THEIR SERVICES.
