Excellent; mulch delivery and installation was very reasonably priced & the beds were edged and looked great when they were done. Mulched around house only.

All went very well.  The key problem for us was the trees shading the rear lawn too much, and being too close to each other for proper shaping.  A thorough estimate was provided, with several options I had asked for over the phone.  The total price was not the lowest but very close to the lowest estimate of others.  Their professionalism plus a personal referral from a painter of our house swung the job to S Piper.  After the major trim job in front, the yard was totally clean, unable to know anything had happened, also in the back after the tree removals.  We watched during the trimming, was offered the option of a branch or 2 to leave or stay--a nice personalization touch.  As with the usual tree stump grinding, be aware there will be a mound of mulch to deal with unless special provisions are made beforehand.  The estimator did his thing without our presence, then left the estimate at our door.  This is OK if one is experienced in having this kind of work done, thus knowing what are the best things to do.  We were thinking to have only 1 of the 3 trees cut, the other 2 to be trimmed.  Other firms, that estimated in our presence, offered some options that were more expensive (cut and grind versus trim) but were a better way to go.  We had this knowledge beforehand so the expanded options were able to be presented to S Piper.  If possible, for newbies, try to get to talk with their estimator so you get the overall best job done.  Note that they have a very informative website and are professional Arborists, another plus, that gives you more confidence in their recommendations.

Horrible ... they came out to do the work and instead of removing the entire limb, they only cut off the part of the limb that was hanging down (which we could have done ourselves). I called numerous times to get the work completed and the very rude and unprofessional staff (especially the aggressive woman answering the phone) was argumentative and refused to finish the contracted work. I left two voicemails with the owner Steve Piper and he never bothered to call me back. So we paid $225 for what amounted to probably 5 minutes worth of work and we still have a weakened storm damaged limb hanging next to our hous - we were ripped off by an unscrupulous business who took our money then refused to finish the job and provided horrific customer service to add insult to injury. Learn from our terrible experience and steer clear of Steve Piper and the clowns he hires ... they are a JOKE!!!! They think they got away with this, but I am going to make it my mission to tell every potential customer about their shoddy work and service through customer review sites.

That worked good. We called them; we ordered the mulch; the price was good; they dropped it off promptly. We would use them again. They were very good.  The quality of the mulch was very good and the service. They were very professional. I think I had to wait a little bit because they were so busy. I had to wait maybe a week and a half before they could make the delivery.  They were completely booked up.

Crew came in and took down one large maple close to the house, and a river birch at the back of the yard. Crew was professional and went the extra mile to ensure the branches didn't hit the house. They came back a week later to grind the stumps.

Everything was perfect

Perfect. They came at a great time and left the mulch exactly where I wanted.

The work was done very professionally. Everything was done carefully with quality. A few days after the tree was removed, they came back again with machine to clean up the big root of that tree in my back yard, which helped keeping the yard easier for future landscaping work.

It was a couple of yards at about $90 altogether. That includes the delivery. It's $34 or $35 a yard and then delivery charge of $50.
