We have needed a new roof for several years; ceiling leakage, etc. Only this year have we found the means to proceed. We did some research around our neighborhood, and chose Showalter because it was favored by folks we knew, who had connections with building or contracting. The recommendation was well earned, and although the quote was higher than we expected, it came with a guarantee that we can have problems repaired as long as we live under this roof. Not only that, but if we sell the house, there are accomodations for the new homeowners as well. We didn't have to wait long for them to schedule work, which was great. The work was begun and completed in ONE DAY. That was surprising, considering that there was a lot of plywood that needed replacing. They recommended ridge vents and edge vents to maximize air flow through the attic space. They cleaned up after themselves, and inspection was complete within 4 days of the job. We are very pleased with the result, and with all the good advice that Showalter gave us to fix our issues.

Showalter was very professional and responsive. A couple items needed addressing after the project and Showalter was quick to respond. Definitely would recommend the company.

The team over at Showalter is outstanding. They take great pride in their work and treat your house as if it was their own. They did a complete review of everything once they were finished and even came back a couple of times after the job was completed to do a quality check. We will definitely recommend Showalter Roofing to family and friends.

The vendor fixed the necessary repairs in a professional fashion.

They came out very quickly the first time we called. Rain was threatening and we needed the leak fixed quickly. They fixed a leak at the peak of the roof, but after a few days the roof was leaking again. There was a second leak that they had to go through the attic to find. They were back very quickly again and fixed the second leak. They were very knowledgeable and professional and took time to explain everything clearly.

They did a really good job. They are real professional. We really get a good job from them. They are our roofing professionals. They are very prompt. If you say you would like a little more done, like there was some showing in the middle, and they came and fixed it immediately. They make you really happy.

Fantastic! There was some more damage that wasn't apparent, or suspected until Dale and Dave got onto the roof. They repaired that damage as well with pictures to document the damage. They were equipped for the job at hand. They were also very polite and professional.

I contacted Showalter in October and signed the contract later in the month. They offered me a competitive price (in the middle of other quotes), but they were the only ones who let me know what I really needed to have done. One company just gave a quote and didn't let me know that my leaking problem was actually my chimney and not my roof, and the other company tried to sell me everything from radiant heat in the attic to new gutters. I asked if I could have it done before the week of Thanksgiving, and they said no problem. They scheduled me for the Tuesday of the prior week. However, when Monday came, they emailed that they were behind and had to move my job to the following Monday. I immediately called and said I needed it done this week, so they rescheduled for Tuesday. However, when Tuesday came, they had not finished another job, so they could not come Wednesday. They offered Saturday, but I didn't want that. I had no choice but do wait until Monday. I was not happy about that, but sometimes those things are unavoidable. Once they started, they were punctual, professional and thorough--answering all the questions I had and even doing a few extra things when I asked. There were no additional costs over the estimates, and they got my stuff done in a day and a half. Because it was cold, the roof wasn't laying down like it should--it looked a little warped, but I am positive that is just because of the weather. I would recommend Showalter Roofing if you want a fair price for great work.

The project was well organized and professionally run. Start and completion were on schedule and the disruption of the home was minimal. Deck, landscaping and driveway were protected. Permits were obtained from City and final inspection by city approved the work.

I would highly recommend them.  Excellent provider.  Was easy to contact.  Was extremely responsive.  Was timely to all appointments and commitments.  Was able to communicate easily with sales Rep via cell phone and text messaging as needed.  Work was completed exactly as promised.  Was ~10% cheaper than other providers with what we thought was a superior product.  Very clean.  Covered siding, windows, garage door, bushes, etc. so they did not get damaged during the tear-off process.  Cleaned up everything at the end of the job and I would not have known they were there except for the beautiful new roof.  Went through a thorough inspection with the sales representative after the job was done to make sure that we were satisfied before making final payment.  We had 1 very minor issue after the installation and they came back promptly to resolve the issue immediately and to my satisfaction.

Showalter Roofing responded quickly to my emergency call on 7/2/2015 as I was about to leave for a 4 day weekend . The problem was substantial raccoon damage to my roof (holes) which they repaired. The 2 repair men were very congenial, and did an excellent job. Later, billing glitches were worked out most amicably with the manager Mr. Martin, who could not have been nicer. The cost for work done was very reasonable, and I would definitely engaged Showwalter Roofing again.

Corrected the issue.

Jeff, the Showalter rep, was very helpful in explaining the job and in helping us select the type and color of shingle we ultimately selected.  We were told by him and by other roofing companies that our two story roof line was complicated.  One company said it would probably take three days to do the job.  Showalter finished 99% of the work in one day.  The tear off started at 7:30 a.m.  THE SAME TEAM WAS STILL WORKING UNTIL AFTER DARK, about 8 p.m.  We have no reason to believe that the materials used or the installation was subpar. But one has to wonder how well  the non-English speaking crew was functioning toward the end of such a grueling day. 
A day  later the man who was to do the sheet metal work on our two chimneys showed up.  He asked where the left over shingles were.  There were none left at the work site.  We couldn't help him.  He needed to remove and replace some of our aluminum siding to complete the job.  The day after he left we discovered the left over VINYL siding that he had either thrown on the ground or had blown there during the night. 
We alerted Showalter to three issues that were obvious without climbing on the roof:  There were large clearly visible scratches on our two year old gutters that had not been there prior to their men installing the roof.  Some of the leaf guards (also two years old) that their crew was supposed to remove and reinstall had merely been bent up and then down and were no longer as smooth as they were prior to this project.  And some of our siding was pulled away and had not been properly set back into place.  We communicated our concerns.  Some were simply ignored.  As to the scratches, they insisted that their workmen (even though they were on the job for 12+ hours and completed the work in the dark) were always careful and were absolutely blameless.
We finally settled these matters with a small credit to our bill.  It was an inadequate settlement, but we needed to move on.
If you use this company, take pictures of EVERYTHING before the job and as the job progresses.  Maybe you'll have more success with post-installation issues than we had.
