Excellent response time, reasonable prices, and quality workmanship. I used Shiffler Builders on a previous home as well (skylight repair, bathroom remodeling, and family room modifications), and have always been very pleased with their work and the ease of doing business with them.

Perfectly. Workmanship and quality are excellent. Job went quickly and according to schedule. Work site kept very clean during construction and after work was completed. We have worked with Shiffler Builders several times and have always had very good results.

Had Steve Shiffler out to give me a proposal on a home addition. He spent about five minutes looking at the job and my house and proclaimed that the job was a $300K job. I told him my budget was much less than that and I would be interested in his idea for what I could get for my budget. He took my plans and said he would get back to me with some ideas. After not hearing from him for a month, I got my plans back in the mail with a one-page note (in which he misspelled my name) saying that after reviewing my plans, my budget did not align with with the cost of the remodel. No ideas, no follow-up, nothing. I have spoken with 4 other contractors and all of them are coming in within 10% of my budget expectation. Thanks for all of your hard work and attentiveness Steve. I guess you must have so much business that you can charge double for your projects and still have clients begging to work with you!

When they ran into problems, they figured out how to fix them. It was important that the work appeared compatible with what was there. They did an excellent job. They aren't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

I have used them for about 25 years. They are the fifth generation and they have been around forever. We have used them for just about everything. We would have used them for roof work as well if they did it, but they don?t. We used them about three summers ago to add on a garden structure, which was the most incredible custom built structure. They are prompt, reasonable and responsible people. We had given them our keys to our house earlier. We recommend them to all our friends. They are a little more expensive, but it is worth the money. I contacted him to get some idea on the roofing job. He still took the time to explain things to me though he doesn?t do that work.

They are fantastic. They are fifth generation Naperville. They are the only contractor we use.

They did what they said they would do and they did it on time. The craftsmanship seemed very good. The sub-contractors were good. It was totally fabulous! I would give everybody who worked on the project an A plus. The contractor gave us a calendar of what would be done when. They were also very careful about other areas of the house, making sure that they were clean and usable. As far as I am concerned, we can't praise them enough!

SINCE MY HOME IS SO OLD I CAN'T JUST GO TO HOME DEPOT TO GET ONE things OFF THE SHELF. HE'S WILLING TO DO THESE DIFFICULT JOBS. HE IS VERY HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY TOO. Have been satisfied every time. If there are any problems at all months or even years after the work is done, they stand behind it. For one minor problem I had with an interior door latching a few years after the work, there was no bill. Instead, I received an invoice indicating what the work would have cost and suggesting that I contribute that amount to a charity. Very unusual!
