I was shorted $90 on my reimbursement. They refuse to reimburse and even got them a military discount on the repair. This place is a scam and tips off their customers. DON'T USE THEM!

We received a letter in the mail on June 29, 2022 from Pivotal Home Solutions. We've never heard of this company and never signed up for their services. The account number on the letter is 2064672. After speaking to them, we were shocked to discover that this company has been adding a charge to our Nicor gas bill since 2016 despite never authorizing this. Joel Gutierrez ([email protected]) (phone number 618-433-2373) has been unwilling to rectify this issue. The Better Business Bureau profile for Pivotal Home Solutions lists over 200 complaints, many of which are similar stories of people being charged by this company despite never giving permission: [*** Link removed ***] Their former name is Nicor Home Solutions, and there are numerous warnings about them: [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] This scam company has deceivingly charged us over $2000 since May 2016, and I will not consider this issue resolved until the full amount is refunded.

Terrible company , not sure how they are associated with Nicor Gas, servicing is done by a company called Pivotal home solutions . I had the misfortune of trying to use them twice during the 5 year period i had their service both times got ripped off. last time water heater had a problem called this company they sent a their contract company called centerguard to service the water heater , the technician looked it over and said it cannot be repaired but has to be replaced and then went on to quote an exorbitant price which was easily $500 over any other quote,

Service itself was great. The technicians are very professional. However, the staff handling the calls for service are not very well trained. They misunderstood the type of service need when described. They also did not call back to inform that a service appointment was being canceled due to weather

It is my gas company, Northern Illinois gas company is called Nicor and they offer a home warranty program that covers items like heating and air conditioning. I guess my point is I don't really know who the servicer is in most cases because they are there representing Nicor. So I think they subcontract it out so the companies that do the work -- I don't know who they are most of the time. The price for the last service was zero because I pay a monthly fee to have the home warranty so there is no out of pocket for each visit. The monthly fee is $99.

I feel like it used to be very reasonable but it has just gotten more and more expensive. I'm not really pleased with the price but on the other hand I'm kind of reluctant to give it up. I honestly don't know what other places charge. They've taken away too. There have been times where we were thought "Wow, was it worth it!" but anymore I wonder if it is worth it. I hang on to it just in case. Their service has always been excellent. The only negative thing is a couple of times, not lately but way back, I didn't understand how it worked at the time. I thought we ere going to get reimbursed for a new oven and microwave. We were told that we would get reimbursed but then they wouldn't reimbursed us. I don't remember the reason but it was really upsetting at the time. Something about hitting the maximum for the year. We had a huge plumbing issue that year and we hit the maximum. I think that was the only time I've been mad at them.

Electrician was punctual, professional, neat and thorough. Had to make two calls to Nicor, as first request was not completed. Plumber was punctual, professional, and thorough. Heating and AC was punctual, professional and thorough.
