Found Dave West through a personal reference. Cost was in the middle of other estimates. Had great references. One issue we had with other companies were the comments that the salesperson who spec'd and sold the job was never seen again, leading to mis-communications with work crews. Mike is a small operation, so he quotes and performs each job. He is professional, clean, conscientious, easy to work with. He promptly returned initial call within a day. Came out on a Sunday to work up the estimate. Called ahead when running a little late to ask if that was okay or would we like to reschedule. Mike still does most work on a handshake. If you are looking for colorful brochures, lengthy sales quote and contract documents, Mike is not your guy. His estimate was hand written on a notepad. I'm a project manager, so I ended up writing my own contract, detailing specifications and terms. Job started when he said it would. He worked with our schedules, so we could be home when the work was being done. Work was completed on-time. Cleanup was excellent. Did an excellent job laying the roof. Didn't try to up-sell us on things we didn't need or tear-off. We were going to have our gutters replaced after the roofing, and Mike offered to come back and fix anything the gutter guys did for no cost.
