+ -1 moreThey damaged a wire connecting the computer in the car. I called them back to find out what had happened. Asked to see purchase info for the wiring, they were unable to produce the receipt info for the repairs. They wanted me to keep coming back to get it fixed. Ultimately had to take to the dealership, even though more expensive, can trust the dealer. I would not recommend.
Description of Work: I have been to Merlin before for oil changes. Went to Merlin to have a serpentine belt replaced. Declined their services.

+ -1 moreIt had been a while since I had more done on my car than have the oil changed so I I bought a package deal through another site to have it checked out. I was able to set up an appointment online for just a few days out and everything went smoothly. When I picked up my car I expected the typical "you need to get this this and this replaced" but they said everything looked good and it would most likely be several more thousand miles before anything major needed to be done. I appreciated that, especially since I was already using a discount for this service. I also like that they have a pretty nice online system for an auto shop.
Description of Work: oil change, tire rotation, wiper blade replacement and coolant flush, plus 20-point vehicle inspection

+ -1 moreVery honest and professional. They could have charged me much more for this simple repair, but they didn't!
Description of Work: My car would not start one day, and I did not know why. Merlin checked the vehicle and found it was simply the battery cable was very loose, and had stopped making a connection. They tightened up the cable, and only charged me $10!

+ -1 moreSaid it would just take a few minutes to check the level, but I was there with kids waiting for an hour and half. Charged me the same as they would have for environmentally disposing of old coolant, but did not perform any actual disposal because the level was actually under-filled and there was no need to drain.
Description of Work: Checked a/c coolant level as I thought it may have been over-filled.

+ -1 moreI think they were nice and courteous and everything and did everything they said they were going to do. I'm not sure what value we got out of it, because we really needed clutch work and they don't do that. So, he had to go somewhere else to get the clutch repaired. So, they're not really a full service place. $500.00 seems a lot for not actually fixing the problem the car had. It was probably all good things that we needed to do, but when you also need clutch work, it's a lot of change to fork over.
Description of Work: They did a general tune-up on our car.
