THE QUALITY OF THE TILE WORK WAS POOR. THE TILE IS UNEVEN AND SOME OF IT IS CROOKED. SOME OF THE PATTERNS ON THE FLOOR DO NOT MATCH UP. THEY FIXED SOME THINGS AFTER I COMPLAINED, BUT MUCH OF THE WORK WOULD NEED TO BE COMPLETELY RE-DONE IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE PROPERLY TILED. I HAD A REVOLVING DOOR OF TILE INSTALLERS, WHO ALL HAD VARYING DEGREES OF SKILL AND EXPERIENCE. EACH BATHROOM HAD 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT GUYS WHO WORKED ON IT AND AS A RESULT THE WORK LOOKS INCONSISTENT. THEY WERE NOT VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE APPROXIMATELY 2.5 WEEKS TO COMPLETE THE TILE WORK. IT TOOK CLOSE TO A MONTH AND CAUSED PROBLEMS WITH MY OTHER CONTRACTORS. THE TILERS WOULD SHOW UP AROUND 11 AM. AND LEAVE AROUND 4PM. THEY DIDN'T PUT IN A FULL DAY. THE TILE WORK IS NOT SATISFACTORY. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THEY RUINED MUCH OF MY EXPENSIVE TILE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
Description of Work: MAJOR HOME REMODEL. TILED 4 BATHROOMS AND 1 FIREPLACE. THEY WERE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SOME OF THE OTHER TILE CONTRACTORS I TALKED TO. THEY WERE A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE TILE STORE WHERE I BOUGHT THE TILE. I DECIDED TO GO WITH MCKENNA EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE MORE EXPENSIVE. I BOUGHT NICE TILE AND WANTED A REALLY GOOD TILE JOB. I DID NOT GET IT.

Customer paid 5/27/04. Homeowner added other work so the job was longer. Tiles were hand crafted, each piece not the same size, that is the beauty of them. Many reps saw her pictures and said acceptable. No installer at her house had less than 5 years experience. We offered to finish sealing bathroom but the homeowner kicked us out and did not allow us to return. J McKenna
