Painting is average at best. 1 Star given due to trying to get someone out for warranty work. I understand it is their busy exterior painting business but Live Paintings response is we are busy and will let you know when we can come out even after a month of waiting. If things were painted properly and not in a hurry to get the job completed we probably wouldn't have had to even discuss warranty work. I would consider adjusting my review if I can get Ricardo (Live Painting) to honor the warranty. Sad you have to resort to online reviews.

***PLEASE READ*** We hired Live Painting to install drywall in our unfinished basement. We were promised that we'd have 2-3 workers for the duration of the project and they'd work 8-6 (at the very lastest). The first day we had 2 workers and after that we only had 1 worker. The project was suppose to take 5 days, but due to not having enough resources it took longer about 11 days and he worked until 8:30pm at night sometimes, not the 6:00p that was promised. I could go on and on however I think the best way to give a fair review will be to note the Pros and Cons; Pros: Initially Ricardo was friendly, cordial and appeared to care about the customer experience Ricardo was willing to work with us on pricing although the labor price that we negotiated was the fair market price for the area Edgar generally showed up on time Edgar offered to go with us to purchase the materials. Ricardo came to the house on the last...he said to inspect (it was vey little of that done) but of course it was to get the check Cons: The project took twice as long due to Ricardo not providing the promised amount of workers Ricardo became argumentative in his communication when we asked about the length of the project, and providing Edgar with additional resources (we actually felt bad for him), he worked long hours all by himself. Every now and then someone would come over to help for about an hour. One guy came over to help and just as I pulled up I saw him take a case of Dos Equis' out of his truck and he apologized (which he should have) - how disrespectful to bring alcohol into a customers home and try to work. I'd highly suggest working from home to manage the crew if you hire them for ANYTHING!!! When it came to inspection time, they rushed us through it and we had to state what his website says "no payment until the customer is satisfied". When we asked about resources we were told that he only had union workers which cost more and he couldn't get anyone to come for the whole time. We contacted Ricardo shortly after the job was completed to let him know that our drywall corners were cracking and bubbling, he came out to assess it and agreed that it would need to be corrected, however to date and after many attempts to schedule the repairs the drywall has not been corrected see pictures.

On July 6 2017 Live Painting was contracted to install drywall in the our basement at our property in Bolingbrook IL. We paid for the labor and materials. Since that installation, we contacted Ricardo Ortiz to inspect and comment on the fact that the inner corner beads are peeling/bubbling away from the walls and cracking throughout the entire basement. After several attempts, Ricardo, in fact, finally did appear at the home and agreed that the work was deficient, the worker failed to complete the install in a workmanlike manner and needed to be repaired and or replaced. Ricardo informed us that to date, and despite multiple attempts to contact the contractor, he has failed and refused to return to the premises to remediate the deficiency. We contacted another drywall contractor to inspect the drywall issue. Said contractor has indicated that the method of drywall installation was neither completed in a workmanlike manner nor consistent with the industry standards. The removal and reinstallation of drywall will cost the Reynolds at least $4,000.00. Ricardo contacted us on January 16, stating that his contactor refused to complete the repairs, he informed us that he would complete the repairs and we responded on January 18 again requesting a date that he (Ricardo O) could begin completing the repairs as needed, but as of February 25, we have not received a response.

I did a ton of research and met with several painters before choosing Live painting. Very happy with the choice I made. Ricardo's (owner) pricing was reasonable.. Definitely not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. His crew showed up on time everyday and were all very pleasant and respectful. The project took a bit longer than initially planned, but I didn't care as long as everything was done right. When it was all said and done, my wife and I were very pleased with the results. Ricardo made it a point to come to the house, check out the results asked maker sure we were happy. I'd definitely use Live painting again in the future. Highly recommended.

Excellent team of people! Ricardo ( the owner) was so efficient with coming to Our home to discuss and review the job we had! We received a quote promptly and applaud him on that when 2 other painters took over 2 weeks to even respond with pricing! They are courteous, kind and meticulous workers who respect not only your home but you! Ricardo checks on his team and visited our home mutiple times to review ongoing work and stayed in touch via text regarding any questions paint colors , time crew was arriving etc! There were times he would text me just to verify a color or let me know the painters might be 15 minutes late! Super courteous!! We painted every ceiling,closet and room in the house, including two story family room! We also decided to change the color of our trim to match a full fireplace surrounded on 2 story fireplace and also doors. They use Low VOC paint and protected everything so well.. sprayed the fireplace surround and doors.. it all looks like NEW.. Amazing! The painters always showed up when they said they would, kept our home neat and clean and always cleaned up so neatly at the end of the day, and we made payments as we went along with the project as working was being completed! LOVE this team and HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing professional quality painting with awesome pricing!

Excellent! I have used the services of Live Painting for the past several years. Ricardo and his team of polite, conscientious workers have painted the interior of my home, the exterior of our daughter's home and extensive painting of a condo we own in Chicago.
This is a hardworking company and I highly recommend it for all painting needs.
