"This customer had a clear agenda to take advantage of us when they called. They asked for a no-heat diagnostic to get on the emergency schedule, but changed to only wanting a cleaning when we arrived. Al fixed the problem and the system ran well for 15 minutes before leaving. They then left bad reviews as leverage to negotiate for a discount on the service provided, and demanding that we return for additional discounted services. After a long conversation with our Office Manager and GM, we agreed to go back to performed a discounted cleaning and additional diagnosis in return for removing the bad reviews. This was actually followed by another bad reviews and a refusal to take them down. (If you notice, this customer has 10 reviews with 6 of them being service companies, and they gave ALL of them 1-Star.) Yes, we were running late due to handling other customers with "no-heat" on a ZERO degree day, but we called well in advance, and the customer mentioned that it was "no problem". However, the original call was schedule for 3:30, not 2:00, and we arrived at 4:17. The furnace had a ton of personal belongings stacked in front of it, which we try not to handle, so that we don't cause any damage to valuable items. They mentioned that the items were too heavy for them to move, but she carried her dog up and down the stairs several times without an issue. Al had 2 other customers to get to that day who legitimately had no-heat, which is our primary concentration this time of year. (Cleanings can be done any time, and we recommend in the Fall, so that no heat calls can take priority in extreme conditions.) We tried to satisfy them and provide good service, but their agenda was clear. We were met with poor ethics and a disrespectful posture. Our technician tolerated harsh language and an aggressive general behavior. We will not service this customer in the future, and have inactivated their account with us."
"It looks like you haven't had ANY maintenance on your system since it was installed. We don't show any service appointments. We contact customers twice per year (at least) to remind everyone that it's time for annual maintenance, but it appears that nothing has been scheduled for you. You mentioned that another company had come out to diagnose the problem, however we cannot trust that their diagnosis is accurate, (same reason we get second opinions from doctors), and we cannot properly diagnose/test an AC system in the winter, unless its over 55*. This is why we suggested setting an appointment for you this coming Spring, so we can properly diagnose and repair the system for you. A leak can be caused by many things, which is why we need to get the system under pressure and see what we can find. Most of the time, the leak is inside the coil, and has nothing to do with installation workmanship. Sometimes its a rodent or yard work that has damaged the outdoor coil. It's very rarely workmanship, otherwise we would have seen an issue from the very beginning. Or we would have caught it in annual service. As for the Armstrong brand itself, its actually one of the most reputable brands in the industry with a FAR better warranty repair rate than all of the larger (better known) brands at less than 0.5%, whereas most other brands are at least 5.0% or higher. Armstrong is the residential PRO brand of Lennox, one of the best, and most reliable brands in the industry. The Armstrong warranty was previously a 10 year factory warranty, however because there was no annual maintenance performed, it dropped down to 5 yr. Our "Rock*Star" warranty from Harmonic provides a 12 year parts and 12 year labor warranty, as well as a No-Lemon guarantee, in addition to a LIFETIME heat exchanger warranty... as long as you have annual maintenance performed. However, when someone neglects the annual maintenance on their HVAC, it voids all those warranties, very similarly to never changing the oil in their car."

He was very respectful of our home and responsive to what we needed. He provided a fair price for the services and we opted to go with Harmonic.
The day of, Tony showed up to do the work. on time, perhaps even a little early He was on time, showed the same respect for our home that Jeremy had, and had the same passion for the field in which he worked. He worked hard, and was able to get the job done early after cleaning up after himself.
I was incredibly pleased with the result (i.e., the technology that Jeremy recommended and the way that Tony installed it). As though I weren't happy enough, when I had a question about the thermostat a couple days later, I called Jeremy and he answered and walked me through the solution. Easy peasy.
