"Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear you were pleased with the service. We look forward to servicing you again in the future!"
It took about two weeks to get on the schedule. They do cleaning year round, but it helps if it is warm enough for the ice in the gutters to have thawed. They originally came on 12/10 but determined they needed to come back on the following Saturday that was supposed to be warmer to finish the job.
He showed up later in the afternoon and cleaned the gutters. Because the style of the gutter guards they had to be removed and could not be put back on. That was a disappointment, but not a surprise. The additional charge for us was for the removal of the gutter guards.
They do not schedule specific appointment times. If you are not home they will take a credit card number or you can leave a check.
He indicated that to remove the front gutter system (approximately 15 feet run) and re-install to right pitch would be $175.00 and to install a new downspout would be $225.00. I asked how long it would take and he indicated approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. To say the least I was quite shocked at this quote. The only material would be a 10 foot downspout that may cost $100.00 inclusing markup. They are charging over $150.00 dollars an hour for labor plus I paid them $49.00 dollars to look at the system prior to obtaining the quote. I obviously declined the quote, paid the $49.00 and thanked the technician for his time.
It is my opinion that the fees quoted are typical for emergency response work but not for standard work. I would caution anyone to contact them due to the practice of charging for a quote and the very aggressive pricing schedule for labor and materials. Save yourself the $49.00 and utilize a company that does not charge a fee to provide a quote. I received another quote that morning for $185.00 to complete the same scope of work and did not have to pay for the quote.
