We now have a wonderful kitchen - took out a wall, redid windows and door, put in a breakfast counter, new floor, new lights, custom cabinets, updated appliances, new countertops, under-cabinet lighting. Doubled our cabinet and pantry space. Pick any aspect of that kitchen and it's at least ten times better now. Lots of good ideas and very high quality work. We have recently re-hired them to redo a bathroom.

Tom the owner was very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. His company installed a new roof and it looks great! I met with ten companies for a roofing quote, and decided to go with Gizmo Home Craft after meeting with Tom. He will go out of his way for his customers. I will be using him again for future projects.

The demolition was the worst part, but Tom Debski and his crew did a masterful job of keeping the mess to a minimum and cleaning up after themselves. We asked that the work be completed before our move-in date, and Tom was able to accommodate us. And the job came in slightly under budget, which was great. The hardwood floors look like new, and the bedroom turned out just as we wanted. We couldn't be more pleased.

Mr. Debski is the owner of Gizmo and handled the job himself. I called him after receiving an estimate from my insurance company on a hail storm. They only wrote half of the house and I was unable to pay for the other half of the house to be sided. I contacted Gizmo home confused and not sure what I was going to do. Mr. Debski contacted the insurance company for me and they rewrote my estimate because the original siding was no longer available. He guided me through the process of choosing siding and having the job completed. He was always so friendly and professional at the same time. The job was completed in two days. I would definitely hire him again and recommend his company to others.

Tom does quality work. He has an eye for detail, and a sense of what works. He is a natural problem solver. He is punctual and polite. If he says he will do something, he will do it. His workers did not leave messes, and the finished jobs were of the highest quality. I have recommended him to family and friends without hesitation. I have lived in my house for over 25 years, and have used many different contractors/installers (including horrible experiences from big box stores). Tom and Gizmo Homecraft is #1 in my book. You do not need to look further.

We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Tom. He helped us choose a new front door and his team handled the installation. We love the door and will use Gizmo Home-craft again.

We hired Tom to replace our roof last summer; he came by himself to walk us through the process.  Job went great--there was some minor cleanup that had to be done, and he was very responsive and took care of everything.  Even better, there was some minor drywall damage on our second floor ceiling that was probably the result of a previous (not very good) drywall contractor, and Tom had his crew fix it all up and install an inside light for us free of charge.
Just last week, when I noticed what appeared to be water leaking through one of our upstairs windows during a storm, I called Tom right away.  Despite the fact that it was the day before Christmas Eve, he was out to the house within an hour or so.  We determined that no immediate repair was necessary, and I was once again impressed with the responsiveness and good service.  We definitely will use Gizmo again.

Tom was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with. He and his team installed new windows and gutters, made several much needed repairs including fixing the flashing, replacing some cracked cedar siding and gave us a fair price for the entire job. They were reliable, got the job done within the time frame we discussed and did a great job. We were very pleased and would hire them back in an instant.

The work was done well but I felt we payed way too much for what he did. Not that I'm an electrical expert. My biggest issue was that we called him 2-3 times this year when we needed additional work done, and we never once received a response from him. We finally went with a different provider.

I would have seriously considered using Gizmo based upon the good reviews; however, if they can't even be bothered to quote a small project in the interest of potentially getting life-long business (we are both 30 years old and just bought the house we plan to raise our family in), then we will not be moving forward with them. Choosing to simply not respond to a customer, rather than perhaps explain that the initial job was too small for them (which I think may have been an issue), is also unacceptable and unprofessional. We also have a cedar shake roof that is likely in need of repair in 2015. All that business could have gone to Gizmo if they were forthright, instead of unresponsive.

1.    The woodpecker hole was repaired in a day.  They replaced two stained siding boards and stained them.  Beautiful job.  One cannot tell where the work was done.  Perfect!

2.    The utility sink was installed in our basement.  The plumbing work was really beautifully done.  Sounds funny, but really, everything was so neatly engineered and kept so neat.  Also, perfect!

3.    Gizmo took my architect's plans and followed them beautifully.  Beginning with jackhammering the original front cement stoop and replacing it with a newer, larger, more wonderful stoop.  They added the columns and the Georgian balcony.  It is beautiful Everything is as we wanted.  The crew cleaned up each day as they finished.  Their attentiohn to detail was truly delightful to behold.

4.    All this wonderfulness is spearheaded by Tom Debski.  It starts with him.  He came by frequently to check on the work and to check with us to make sure all was going as we wished.  It always did.  Tom followed the work from the beginning to the end.  Tom is very reliable and wanted as excellent a job as we did.

5.  Tom Debski at Gizmo is my Go o guy for all these types of things which might arise.

We have some minor work that needed to get done on the exterior of the home plus we were looking to moving out laundry area from one room to another.  I was told that I should be receiving a quote but never heard from them again!

All work was done as promised.  Extremely professional, extremely neat and amazing equipment.  Showed sample stain color options on floor prior to final application.  Great company to work with: prompt and willing to please. Floor turned out beautifully. Would definitely use them again for future floor finishing plans.

Tom originally came out to give an estimate on work we need to have done our roof. We haven't been able to move forward on that project yet, due to delays with insurance, but I expect to contact Gizmo when the time comes to do that work. While he was at my home for the estimate, I mentioned the problem we were having with the electrical outlets. Tom had one of his electricians to my house within a couple of hours and my problem was assessed and fixed quickly. Both Tom and his electrician were prompt, professional and courteous.

I believe that I would have given him all A marks except for the fact that there seemed to be a lack of communication with the workers.  They forgot to remove the mushroom vents and repair the roof during the initial call.  Tom responded immediately and the job was completed within a day of the call.

We have used Gizmo Homecraft over the years and we decided to replace our 18 year old roof.  We met with Tom who provided us with a large selection of roofing shingles to pick from.  He recommended the current venting system for our house.  His prices were competitive with other roofing companies.   The crew he sent was on time, professional and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day.  It only took two days to complete the roof.   We have found Tom and his crew over the years to be very skilled, professional and thorough in the varied jobs he has done for us.

Unprofessional and rude - told me that my job wasn't not worth his time and just asked for pictures of my project and he would get me a quote.

Called Gizmo for an estimate on a small siding repair job.  One panel of my aluminum siding had separated from the wall at the 2nd story level.  He did not respond until I called a second time.  Asked me to email pictures, which I did.  Did not respond with an estimate as promised.  I called again, gave me an estimate of $800 and said he would email a formal estimate, which he did not.  In the meantime, I found another contractor who did the job plus additional repairs for $130.  I assume this was just too small a job for him to bother with, which he should have just told me in the beginning.

Initially contacted them to have an electrical outlet.  They were initially very prompt at responding back.  Eventually set up an appointment for an estimate to have the outlet installed in addition to other jobs around the house.  They were able to set up an appointment that day for an electrician to come by, however, as I had another contractor for a different job already scheduled and required the use of the area, I had to cancel the appointment with their electrician.  I was informed I would be contact back to have the appointment rescheduled but never heard back.  Tried emailing them twice to follow-up but no response.  They had previously been very responsive but I haven't heard anything back at all.  If the jobs were too small for them, they should have just said so rather than give me the cold shoulder and waste my time.  Will never both with them again, despite the fact that I have many other jobs both small and large that I would like to get done this year.

Went well, best price, prompt and on time, and quality install.

I interviewed 5 different providers before setting on Gizmo. Tom was extremely friendly and professional and seemed to "get" my vision for the basement better than others. I have a half basement with the other half being a poured crawl so we had to get creative on how to get the most out of the space available. I wanted a bathroom with a shower, a large open area that could be dual purpose for kids or entertaining adults, a bar, and lastly, a wine cellar. Tom was very helpful with suggestions on how to best lay things out and achieving all of the goals I had laid out. Once I made the decision to go with Gizmo it was full speed ahead. Tom had the drawings prepared and work commenced within 2 weeks. He and his crew were always very punctual and cleaned up at the end of every day. His original estimate of 6-8 weeks for project completion was right on, we probably could have been done sooner if not for the waiting time on things like cabinets and wine cellar door. Everything was done right on schedule and budget and we couldn't be happier with our new additional living space. Based on the number of compliments we receive, our friends are very impressed with the craftsmanship as well. 
While the guys were working on the basement my wife mentioned to Tom she was interested in updating our kitchen lighting. She and Tom decided to tear out all of the existing lighting and basically start over by dropping pendant lights over the island and replacing an ugly fixture with a series of can lights. She also wanted under cabinet lights which entailed tearing off the tile backsplash prior to installation and replacing with subway tile. Tom offered to start working the next day as the electricians were going to be at the house working on the basement anyway. The kitchen project was completed within a few days and has our kitchen looking like new. 
Overall we couldn't be happier with our experience with Tom and Gizmo Homecraft, in fact we have already had him back for some other minor projects we have needed done. We will not hesitate to use him for any future home repairs or improvements. His price is very competitive with that of the other people we met with and his professionalism and workmanship are second to none.
