Dave is the most professional "stair guy" you will ever find. He works in multi-million dollar custom homes AND in homes like ours. His work is meticulous, he's literally a perfectionist. His measurements are triple checked, laser measured and precision cuts are made in both the wood and iron. He supplied nothing but THE FINEST material (solid wood, solid iron) and carefully reinforced each of the previously installed stair treads by going under the stairs and placing wood corner braces to eliminate squeaks and 'spongeyness'.
Each newel was precisely cut and all the angles for the descending hand rails are matched and perfect. He even 'cheated' to cover imperfections in drywall, flooring and treads.
