I had a routine maintenance check 11/2 where my humidifier water pad was changed. 3 weeks later my heat stopped working completely. I called multiple times and did not receive a response for 3 days. Matthew’s response to me was “We were away like the rest of the country”. HVAC issues unfortunately occur at any time, and I was surprised by the lack of emergency services for current customers. I called another company that arranged an appointment within 24 hours. The new company diagnosed the problem as the water supply line was not properly attached to my humidifier, causing it to leak all over my furnace. The root cause of my issue occurred during the routine maintenance check. I emailed Matthew letting him know and asked for a refund for my $129.99 maintenance visit, and the $165 I was charged by the other company to fix the issue. Matthew berated me in response, calling the issue “laughable” and refused the refund. Matthew has also refused to take any of my calls to discuss. Thankfully, Oasis Heating and Cooling fixed my issue and I highly recommend using Oasis over Chicago Heating and Cooling. Before hiring Chicago Heating and Cooling, I encourage you to read the negative reviews and the aggressive responses from Matthew the owner. I will continue to pursue my refund from this company.

Do NOT use this company! Marcus came out to look at a dryer that wouldn't heat up. Everything else worked, but the dryer just wouldn't ignite. After 30 minutes of testing/poking around, he stated that the Control Board was the problem. I received the estimate the next day and it was $825, total, to repair the dryer. I felt that was a BIT high so I called a local appliance parts store and double-checked, and was told the part was $117 + tax. Upon asking CH&C 'why' the repair was so much based on the research I performed, I got a multitude of answers, none of which were satisfactory. I received then a very nasty 3 page text the next day as well. Needless to say, I could post everything from the text, but that seems unprofessional and don't want to come down to CH&C's level. So, I contacted a different repair guy. It wasn't the control board after all, it was a $40 part, and all in all, they charged me a total of $165 for a total of 45 minutes work. Do the math everyone! Don't trust this company.

There was nothing unexpected. They charge $129 just for a service call.

Excellent company. Have worked with Adrian on a number of occasions and very pleased with his work. He is very talented, clean and competent. This company is very honest to work with, and I will use them again in a second. These guys are a great alternative to the "big box" hvac companies in Chicago. I dont think you can go wrong using them!

They are excellent. Very responsive and very easy to do business with. Quick and efficient. Have used their company many times in the last three years.
