We have been using their services for over 10 years. We have had systems built from scratch, laptop and desktop systems repaired, hard drives, power supplies and cooling fans replaced.  We have never had any issues, though sometimes they get busy and call backs can take a while.  Overall, we have been very happy with their services and have followed them through 2 moves.  Their new address is: 424 Fort Hill Road, suite 106, Naperville 60540

I previously purchased a desktop PC from Chicago Computers. I've also had them bail me out of countless electronic scrapes over time. So, when it was time to get a laptop and go mobile, I contacted Rob Plank, the owner. He is not only a tech genius, but also a patient and genuine individual who just seems to have a knack for watching out for his client's best interests. Rob asked what I wanted and made some recommendations. It's nice to have someone who has a sense of how you work with your tech equipment and what kind of applications you have.
So, I picked up the laptop at Rob's office and he went out of his way to make me happy during a difficult time for his organization .... they were in the middle of moving their office to a new location.
Here is the new location address...

Niot a good experience. We brought the computer into Chicago Computers in Naperville, having a good idea of the problem and seeing the excellent reviews on Angie's List. We explained the problem (currupted Windows files; probably needed Windows re-installation). Took 2 days for the technicians to determine and quot;the Windows files were corrupted and needed re-installation.and quot; In addition, we advised the technicians of our short time frame, as we were leaving town shortly. The technicians did not note this, so their work was not completed when we arrived to pick up the laptop. We paid them (begrudgingly) for their diagnosis, then had the work completed by another company.

I was referred to Chicago Computers by another computer repair shop, when I described the problem I was having.
I called first, to make sure they were still in business, to verify their location, to make sure that they could perform repairs on my laptop, and to see if they thought they could fix the problem I was having. The first couple of calls, over a three day period, which went to voice mail, were not returned, however I am glad that I did not give up. My third call was answered by a person, who was professional and friendly. The address I had, and that is listed on Angie's List is not their current location. They moved some time ago. The new address is 639 South Washington; Naperville, IL 60540.
This is a small shop, and the people are very knowledgeable. I was impressed with their dedication and desire to perform quality work. I was also happy to support a small, locally owned business, yet, I did not feel that I compromised anything by going here as opposed to any of the big name computer repair chains. I had previously had another computer serviced at Best Buy, and while I had no complaints, I still felt more comfortable at Chicago Computers. They really took the time to answer all of my questions, and treated me with respect.
I ended up returning again, because the replacement CPU fan was making a strange noise. Chicago Computers made the subsequent repair, at no additional cost.
I was completely satisified with my experience, and have returned to Chicago Computers for other repairs. At this point, I intend to have all of my computer repair work done there.

We have an older (5+ years) Apple iMac. The screen started to become pixelated. We took it to our local Apple store, but they could not fix it because it is and quot;vintageand quot;. We found Chicago Computers, which is near downtown Naperville. They performed a diagnostic and I believe they cleaned the graphics chip up. The only issue I had is it took a few days. No big deal, but it was hard to live without the computer.

In any case, our computer is back working, for a total price of $200. My concern is longevity of the repair, which isn't really their problem. I would definitely recommend them if you can't get Apple to work on your Mac.

Once Sony sent the replacement hard drive, Chicago Computers then installed and updated everything. However, after picking it up, the computer did not boot up correctly once we got home. Unable to figure out what was wrong, we brought it back. They were able to tell immediately that there was a more serious problem with the computer motherboard. Again, they recommended leaving the computer and they would haggle with Sony. It took a couple of weeks, but my daughter got back a computer that is working beautifully.
I so appreciated the tenacity of the people at Chicago Computers and their insistence that companies need to do the right thing: When a part is faulty, resulting in a computer that does not work, the correct response should not be and quot;buy another computer.and quot; They were successful in their many. many contacts with Sony customer service and they kept me in the loop and were informative, helpful and professional. I could tell they were paying attention to my problem and committed to solving it. I don't know if I'd ever buy another Sony computer, but I will definitely use Chicago Computers for all of my computer needs. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I like their customer service. They are very friendly. They come out to me and are very responsive. The owner is a great guy and easy to work with and easy to understand. He puts things in very simple language. Their prices are very good.
