"[Member Name Removed], I checked our records and do not see you having received an estimate from us or having CertaPro do any work for you. I'm perplexed why you decided to review us this way. Jeff"
As it turned out we discovered an issue with the paint job several weeks after the painting was completed. The office staff was very receptive to our problem. Jamie and the crew arrived the very next day and took care of the problem.
The same crew did the inside painting a few weeks later. The first day was spent sanding and patching. They had to deal with a lot of windows and door frames, so the painting went slowly. They could have been a bit more careful with masking woodwork and in sealing off rooms to prevent sanding dust from penetrating into the house. But overall we are very happy with the work they did.

I made sure to walk the site with the representatives before the project began to ensure everyone knew what needed to be painted and what colors should be used. While they did paint all areas according to my specifications, they did a number of very questionable things:
1. Completely painted over the doorbell. The doorbell had to be replaced. When they installed the new diode, they did not replace the diode. Since I didn't know where to look for a diode, I ended up having to replace the entire doorbell system (not just the button).
2. Painted right over exterior call boxes tied into the in-home intercom system. While this was frustrating, it was not the end of the world since the system no longer works.
3. Left open box cutter knife in the yard that my 2 year old daughter found a few days after they completed. The owner sincerely apologized for this, but I do believe it's an example of a lack of attention to detail.
4. Painted right over dryer vent, dust and all. This issues was resolved.
In the end we have a nicely painted house that took a lot more oversight by me than it should have.
"Customer insisted on using an oil based paint we could not legally buy after June 30th of the year his house was painted. We warned customer about the possibility of paint failure associated with using old outdated paint that had been sitting around a warehouse. We did our best to make this customer happy but to no avail. We applied all materials supplied in a professional manner as we do on all our jobs. Initially the primer and paint held well. The job looked fantastic and this customer was very happy. After a period of time the paint products supplied by the customer began to fail. We had a coatings expert go to the house and evaluate the the situation. The coatings expert reported back to us that the paint was failing and the workmanship was not the issue with this job. Needless to say, we learned our lesson and only use paint products from major manufacturers that we can guarantee are fresh and have not been sitting around a warehouse somewhere. It is now our policy to not allow customers to supply any materials on our jobs."
I am extremely satisfied with the work.
