"When [member name removed] brought her doll in for a quote her doll's face was cracked, her fingers broken and her old dress was dry rotted. I told her I could not repair them. I could if she wanted clean the doll ($26.00), put her loose left arm back in ($15.00) & patch her cloth feet that were deteriorating ($40.00). I told her her doll would be repaired by March 28th, 2013. I explained the quote, she agreed & paid in full. $81.00 less a 10% Angie's List coupon. A total of $72.90. We completed the agreed repairs on March 19, 2013(early). We refer porcelain face cracks and porcelain finger repairs to a fellow restorer. We do not repair these types of repairs, nor do we tell people that we do. If we had, we would have quoted and charged for this repair before it was left for repair. I believe she misunderstood our quote as in her comment" There was poor communication". She also said "The dress and foot repairs were nice."We never repair what we do not quote or get paid up front for. We are sorry she is unhappy. We have been in business 32 years making customers happy."

I initially called Angel to see if a toy like mine was even fixable. She hadn't actually done one exactly like what I described, but she was willing to take a look and see if it was something she could manage. She gave me the option of coming to her store or mailing the toy so that she could look it over and give me an estimate of repair. Because the toy has sentimental value, repairing it was important to me, and I was more than satisfied with the quote of $65 to repair it. I mailed the toy to her and a few days later received a phone call telling me that it was fixable. All I needed to do, if I agreed to the price, was send a check to cover the cost of repair and return postage. A few weeks later, the toy arrived back home. My mother was thrilled (and I was relieved) that it was fixed. I am completely satisfied with my experience with Angel and would definitely trust her with future fixes, and would certainly recommend her to anyone who needs a treasured toy fixed.
