It was not a regular oil change, it was special synthetic. I would use them for just an oil change.

However, I spent $451.84 for resurfaced front rotors, new pads, cleaning the rear brakes, an oil change, and nitrogen in the tires. This amount is down from the $498.00 I was originally quoted. After I complained about the price, they reduced it a bit. Despite the fact that I like the facility and the service they provide, I left feeling like I'd just gotten taken. $500.00 just seems excessive for a fairly routine brake job. I've been beating myself up ever since for not looking for a mechanic on Angie's List first. Probably won't go back.

We noticed a noise that was gradually increasing from the rear of the car and took it to the Honda dealer - who checked it out free of charge and told us it was the tires. We could either replace the tires or live with the noise. The tires are rated for 60,000 miles and currently have 36,000 miles on them less than a year and a half after buying them. We took the car back to Acorn on 8/14/2010. Acorn said the tires have uneven wear on all tires, but especially on one of them. They said that rotating the tires would make the problem worse. We have had the tires rotated on July, 27, 2009 and February 10. 2010 at the Honda dealer. We started noticing the noise in June, 2010. Acorn offered to sell us 4 new tires at approximately the same price that the 4 existing tires cost ($100 discount from the current price). Either they think that constitutes "free replacement" or they don't consider a loud wailing noise a problem. We declined. The tire noise is such that the car is essentially unuseable on the highway. We will get new tires elsewhere.
