Heartland Residential took over from long-established HVAC business Williams Heating and Air in fall of 2013.  We have had a maintenance agreement with Williams since the early 1990s and their service was consistently excellent.  When Heartland Residential took over in fall of 2013, we signed a maintenance agreement with them thinking that with Williams' reputation they would be a good company. Heartland Residential was called early on the afternoon of December 29. After no response for hours we called the emergency number and was told that only even though we had a maintenance agreement that only one service tech was on call and there were 12 people in front of us, all with maintenance agreements. Tech didn't show up until the next day and told us the furnace would need to be replaced and that we would receive an estimate.  Estimate took another day to complete and office informed us that furnace would take a week to replace.  All of this in subzero temps.  This company is not equipped to handle the level of residential business that Williams performed.  They are understaffed although the staff they have is knowledgeable. Beware to anyone working with this group.  This is not the professionalism or level of service of the company they took over.
