Pool-A-Rama

The initial purchase was fine. However, recently the pool table light support snapped and crashed down onto the pool table. The glass light shattered and it ripped not only the cover but the pool table itself. Upon contacting the company, we were told the lighting company would be responsible- not them. The first problem is that the person that rung up our sale did not put the sku # or product information on our receipt. They used the generic # of 9's. We also did not receive any warranty or product info paperwork (we thought nothing of it at the time. We had the pool table paperwork). After a few different conversations, we were told that the warranty is up on the light so they will not do anything for us. I understand about warranties but the light did not just stop working; it was defective and ruined our pool table. One of the metal rings attaching the light completely snapped. If my children were by the table or if someone was playing pool, it could have knocked them out or cut then with glass. We were told it costs approx. $400 to refelt the pool table plus replacing the light (we can live with the damaged cover). Granted, we purchased the pool table quite a while ago, but we are extremely disappointed that the store would sell defective merchandise and not stand behind their products. The result we would like: a replacement light and reimbursement for refelting our table so it is usable again.
