Manicures/Nails
I went in for a manicure without an appointment. The lady who greeted me started to soak my fingers in a bowl of solvent. Then she had a loud argument in Vietnamese with a male employee, and she passed me off to an empty work station. I sat soaking for another 15 minutes, until my fingers turned white and I felt nauseated and dizzy. I was going to get up and leave, but finally the man who had been arguing in Vietnamese came over and scraped off the residual polish. He then started the new no-chip polish, but after each coat he left the room without any word, and left me with my hands under UV lights for at least 10 minutes. He did this repeatedly. During one application of color, he was watching TV and was not paying attention, and he applied a glob of color to my palm. It took him several minutes to notice.
I was in the salon for more than an hour. At first my nails looked nice, but they feel thin and brittle, and the polish started to chip within one day. My cuticles and the backs of my hands are still all dried out.
If there was a problem accomodating a walk-in, all they had to do was to ask me to return later.
Instead I feel like I have been abused. I have never written such a bad review for any business I have used.
I will never go back there!
