Northshore Finishing

Jon did an excellent job on our cabinets and was very professional. We are extremely happy with how the cabinets turned out and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely use him again.

Northshore Finishing did a great job for us. Jon was very thorough and his attention to detail shows in his work. He has a passion for his work and a good eye for design. It is hard to find a contractor who promptly returns calls and emails and Jon is great about getting back to the customer. They even followed up after every stage of the project. Pricing is competitive and certainly a great value when considering the quality and professionalism. I would recommend Northshore and use them again.

It took a while before Jon could get to the work (I'm very sure he's a very busy guy). However, it was a small job and he said he would fit it in when he could. He kept to his word and took one complete day to re-sand and re-stain the window sills; he took the cabinet doors to his shop. A week later he came back to put one more coat of lacquer on the window sills and re-install the cabinet doors. The work is beautiful and exactly what I wanted! I had one guy give me a estimate to skip the re-staining and just paint all the cabinets (which would have been completely wrong for the apartment and the building); he didn't want to do what I was asking for. Jon listened to what I wanted, was COMPLETELY professional and the work is absolutely beautiful!

Jon was responsive with his quote but we chose another Angie List company to do this task as they were more price competitive. I will consider for future jobs.

Jon and his team performed an outstanding job, which went beyond our expectations! We were a little apprehensive at first, but at the end we were so glad we trusted Jon! He and his team were very professional, very clean and made sure we are satisfied with the end product. Painting kitchen cabinets is a great way of refreshing your kitchen without spending too much money and not going through the mess of taking out old cabinets and replacing them with new.

Jon is extremely detail oriented and did a fabulous makeover of my 10 year old builder grade honey colored wood cabinets. He painted them white and it totally transformed the whole aura of my kitchen and family room. He is very professional, polite and punctual and he does know what he’s doing and uses high grade finishes. I highly recommended him. Thanks Jon!!!

Jon came out when he said he would, gave us a very reasonable quote, and did a fantastic job. He even completed the job ahead of schedule. The table looks amazing, and the leaves match perfectly. Jon is also extremely knowledgeable about refinishing and answered our questions about this job, as well as other questions we had. He was a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend him enough!

He did a very nice job. We are very happy with him and we would recommend him. It was excellent. Price was very good. Responsiveness was a little slow.

Northshore Finishing did a great job of repainting a dresser and nightstand. Both were originally in white but years of being used by my daughter had taken their toll. In particular, nail polish on the top of the night stand. And their price was very reasonable. Turnaround time was quick, too.

Jon did a great job in giving my kitchen a totally new look. He took his time, was thorough and took pride in the final look. Was very happy with the way it all came out. Transformed my pine cabinets into modern looking white cabinets throughout the kitchen. He even did some cabinetry work to finish off the kitchen. Would have him back again.

I admit I was pretty nervous. I had been quoted thousands more for the same job. But all my doubts were for naught. Jon truly transformed my cabinets and my kitchen. While he says he does not completely cover the grain, you can hardly notice it at all. I could not be happier with the outcome and the process. Jon knows what he is doing. He provided some extras and went above in and beyond in every detail. So very happy with my "new" kitchen. I will get some photos soon.

He told us what we needed as well as what we did not. Very good quality work, completed on time and for the agreed upon price which was also lower than the other quotes we received.

Fabulous!!! Jon and his helper took the doors and drawers to paint in his facility. The only delay in the process was that we were waiting and waiting for Lumber Liquidators to give us an install date for the new floor - Jon wanted to wait until the floor was in before he finished painting the cabinet frames. Once he started that, it only took a day to finish. The quality is incredible - the paint surface is perfect, and we have a "brand new" kitchen!! Jon's price beat anybody's out there, too!!

From initial contact with Jon in the estimate process to final install the entire transaction was handled with professionalism and attention to detail. The worksite was kept tidy, the appointments to be onsite were punctual. Jon was aware that the home he was working on, my parent's home, was for sale however no corners were cut. The cabinets are beautiful, the installation flawless. Emphatically yes I would hire Northshore Finishing again, I am actually in the process of having my kitchen cabinets in my home refinished by them now!

Jon came out to see my kitchen and give me a quote right away when I called. He helped me pick the right color for my cabinets. I love the way they turned out! I would definitely recommend this company.

Jon and his crew came in on a Saturday. They collected the drawers and doors, then began preparation and refinishing. They were quiet and efficient. Everything was clean and neat. I love the way the kitchen now looks.

"I have never written a review for Angie's list before but was so happy about the job we recently had done, I needed to share my experience. The piece I was looking to have refinished was and is very sentimental to me - a once beautiful antique chest of drawers having belonged to my Mother, which over the years had weathered considerably.  I was afraid it was too delicate to trust anyone with the job, but took a leap of faith with Jon, of Northshore Finishing, as he seemed by far the most competent and knowledgeable of the candidates I interviewed.  In addition, he was super personable, polite and comfortable with my barrage of up-front questions.
