ED WAIBEL

Ed helped us fix our kitchen GFI that was malfunctioning 2 weeks ago. Pleasant and knowledgeable man. Now today, I had a different GFI trip in the garage and I couldn't get it to reset. So I called Ed again. He graciously walked me through problem solving at the panel and in the garage and no surprise the circuit was working again. He said he saved us some money and hoped he was our favorite electrician. Indeed he is. Big thanks Ed. Highly recommend

The work seemed to go fine.  But then... After Mr Waibel left I was sorting the recyclables out of the garbage from the job.  I found the damper/duct connector for one of the fans in the garbage.   I went into the attic and found that one of the ceiling fans was missing the damper so obviously the one i found in the garbage should have been on that fan.  It would have been thrown away if I hadn't been sorting the recyclables from the job waste!   By not connecting this the ceiling fan completely was left open to the attic which would have been a giant energy waste and would have caused all sorts of problems with dampness getting into the insulation.
I immediately called Mr. Waibel and he claimed that they don't connect the duct and that I needed to call a HVAC company to do this.  Well, when I had asked for a quote weeks earlier I had specifically asked Mr. Waibel if he could handle the whole installation and he said that he could.  Furthermore if an HVAC person was needed to connect the duct he should have told me rather than throwing the connection parts and damper away without even mentioning anything.  I can not believe that Mr. Waibel told such lies to my face and did such a shoddy job.
I told him that I was going to put a stop payment on the check.  This got him to return to my house to install the damper and connect the duct.   I checked it after he was gone and he did an awful job.  He had left the damper jammed open, fastened everything together with tape because he didn't put it on right, and had tucked the duct into the insulation so it would have exhausted the damp bathroom air into the insulation and ruined it over time.  I had someone else repair the faulty installation.

We have used Ed on two projects. One was to upgrade the electrical service|to our home (a significant undertaking) and the other, to install a new security light. Both were accomplished in a timely and most professional manner.

He is just great. I would definitely recommend him.

He has put in a generator, lots of rewiring, my entire basement and garage. He has had to redo some of the work done by other companies. I had an inspector come out and he explained the electrical work, and commented that who ever did it did an amazing job.
