+ 0 moreThey emailed me the quote. I added on the mulch and arranged a time for delivery that fit our schedule. Since we do some service in the community, it had to meet our timeline. WOW! What an experience! They called to make sure we were there to receive the plantings. Then, the owner herself brought us the Mulch! She took some personal time to actually help us lay out the plantings and made a couple of recommendations. What wonderful layout. I can not be any happier at what the front looks like! The plants she sent were very healthy and full. It looks organized and attractive. Now the hard part! Water! Water! Water. I would highly recommend The Country Bumpkin in Mundelein. They are all about their customers, they take the time to help you, educate you and as you can see, offer customer service that beats none. If you want a great buying experience - go see The_Bumpkin!
Description of Work: I asked Country Bumpkin owners to help me plan out our landscape project in the front of my home. I know absolutely nothing about doing this. We sent Cindy the measurements, some pictures, a little about what our ideas were and what our goal for curb appeal was. She needed to keep in mind that our front yard is full sun and we have a retaining wall. Cindy took our ideas, drew up a plan for us to consider. We stopped out to Country Bumpkin and actually saw the plants that she recommended. She stayed with us for around 45 min., answering questions, showing us other options to consider and why some plantings may not be an option for the area. After much consideration and seeing the plants she recommended, we decided to go with the original plan.

+ -1 moreI had some sewer work done that left a long trench in the yard with a large mound of earth over it that still needed to settle. I hired Country Bumpkin to sod it over in the fall so the winter snow would settle the earth and leave the new grass. I explained to them I wanted to leave the earth mound where it is but they scrapped it level and sodded it. The next spring there was a ditch about a foot deep. They came back, filled the ditch and recovered it but I had to pay for materials. Now a couple of years latter there’s still a ditch there.

+ -1 moreThe provider was rude and did not care for my business. He made it clear he did not like me, however the installers were wonderful. For the sake of price, I overlooked the owner's bad attitude and when the bushes were planted, although the installers were wonderful, they were not spaced evenly. I am still working on hiring someone else to come and dig up and replant the bushes which were spaced unevenly.

We were originally interested in restoring the yard after we had several trees removed from our property, but they were also able to provide us with a landscaping design and work with us based on our budget. Jim was knowledgable, professional, and had lots of ideas. We love the work Country Bumpkin has done!
Description of Work: Planted/installed a tree in back yard, designed front yard landscaping, installed plants, topsoil, and mulch, restored yard.
