CLASSIC VIOLINS

Amazing. We bought my daughter's cello from Classic Violins, and heartbreakingly, two months later, a construction accident left a huge gash in the rib of the cello. They were non-judgmental, and in a few weeks, the cello was repaired, miraculously - there was no sign of mishap, including the sound. I didn't expect to find Classic Violins on Angie's List, but they have been our luthiers for 15 years, and remembering the exceptional experience we've had with them - service/instruments/bows - I needed to take time to write something. It's been 6 years since the accident; we continue to choose Classic Violins (an hour away from us) for instrument maintenance and purchase (we chose a violin and some bows from Classic Violins, as well.) Tremendously professional and warm interaction, especially with Antoanetta, Plamen, and Stefanie. All of our children's school and private teachers, including 2 with the CSO, have thought very highly of Classic Violins' instruments.

I had an old violin that was my father's that I wanted to get fixed and cleaned up to hang on the wall for decorative purposes. It had no strings, bridge and had been in the case for at least 30 years. Classic Violin added a bridge, strings, cleaned, polished and touched up the violin. To save money since I did not plan on playing the violin, they recommended the use of an used bridge and strings, which worked out perfect for my use. They had the work completed within the time estimated and the violin looked great. The staff was friendly and informative, and the service was outstanding. The violin looks great hanging on my wall! Wish I would have done it sooner.
