It was great from start to finish. Joe is my new favorite person, and the team he sent to do the installation was excellent. Joe and I talked through a few different options for our basement, and he was very knowledgeable on what would work best for us. His prices were pretty good, too.

Joe made sure our carpet was in stock and scheduled the install quickly. He also accommodated our request for an early start time (so I could meet the installers before I left for work). The installers were at my home for 14 hours, ripping up the old carpet, laying new pad and the new carpet. I was impressed that they stayed and finished it all in one day. The carpeting looks and feels great, I'm very happy with it. Joe has since called to make sure everything was okay and to our liking and I've also received a hand written thank you for your business note! The personalized customer service is wonderful! Thank you to Joe and the entire team at Carpets in the Park.

Great job! Our place looked better than when we bought it. We had a contract on our townhouse within a week of putting it on the market.

Workers arrived on time and completed all work that was agreed to. They had to come out a second time to replace a panel that was defective. All work was competed to my satisfaction.

He tried to sell us carpet that was flawed and didn't match the samples in color or quality. The second batch was laid with lines that both the manufacturer and rep agreed were substandard. He tried to fix this problem hinself in different ways instead of having it done professionally. It took 4 months to have a simple carpet laid in the basement during which we couldn't use the family room ofor our home.
Response from Carpets In The Park
"Mrs. [member name removed], When we first met you told me I was one of a few companies that were bidding. You let me know that you were selling your home and did not want to spend a lot of money. You accepted my proposal for $3900.00,not $5000.00. When the carpeting was installed on September 2nd 2013, you told me that the color was way off and you would not accept it.After our meeting at your home we concluded that the color was correct, but the shade tone was a little off from what you expected from the 6 inch x 6 inch swatch that was sent to you. Dye-lots to vary, but I agreed to have the carpeting replaced, a 12 x 90 foot carpeting (120 square yards). This time I asked that the Mohawk Mills send you a One foot by twelve foot piece off of the roll that you would receive so there would be no confusion as to the correct dye lot. They did ship it to you, and you accepted it.It took a little bit of time for the sample to come in, and for you to accept it, and for Mohawk Mills to send me the new carpeting. In the interim I told you to use the carpeting that was installed for your every day use. The new carpeting was installed 37 days latter, not four months later as you suggested. The Berber Carpeting that you ordered has a Sisal straight line type pattern to it. The low light in your basement was showing up the seamed joint. I came over to your home to take a look at it. While I was there, I rolled the area that was in question to see if the pile of the Berber was flattened. Every thing seamed to line up correctly, but I agreed that in the low light you could see the joint in some of the line, even thou with your basement light turned on, you could not find it. I told you I would have my Installers back out to remedy the situation, and to re-do the joint to your satisfaction. This was done expeditiously, and to your satisfaction and as professionally as could be done. I see you are sending the review from Portland. Congratulations on the sale of your home in 2013. It is very important for me to tell you point blank Mrs. [member name removed], I did not sell you flawed carpeting that didn't match the sample you had. The manufacturer is Mohawk Mills. The sample was clearly marked, and the dye lot was a little off. I know because I sent you the Bill of Laden from Mohawk Mills. I ordered the carpeting a second time, with no questions asked! Carpets in the Park installed the carpeting correctly, and took care of all of your concerns. It didn't take four months to complete, it took 37 days. I have been in business ( Carpets in the Park) for over 27 years and never ever have done anything as you suggested, from selling flawed materials to taking forever to complete, in a disorderly fashion. Best of luck to you in Portland."

It looks amazing.  Had a small issue with the installer using a broken piece of wood which I was unable to see until the varnished dried and a puddle of varnish that had dried solid.  I sent Joe a picture of the broken wood and he had the installers back at my house the next day to fix the broken piece of wood that was used, and they also fixed the puddle of varnish.  I was shocked at how good the repair looks.  You'd never know there was anything done.  I was very happy with the job and the prompt response and resolution to the problem.  I would definitely recommend and use them again with hesitation.

Joseph was very professional. He arrived on time with the samples and thoroughly explained each type. Unfortunately, it was not what we were looking for to replace our stairs and runner. Even though we decided not to do business with them at this time, I would consider them for future jobs.

Contractor's price proved too low because he missed a major problem with the job when he bid the contract. As a result, the promised clean up was not delivered because he had to cut his losses and end the job before the clean up was done. The clean up cost me at at least $400. Sadly, he lost money, too.

He tried hard but everything stemmed from initial mistake in bid. Great guy, good relationship, good crew, but unfortunate error.

Wonderful, wonderful job. I absolutely love the carpet, and I was very pleased with the entire process. I appreciate the employees who came to install the carpet. They were extremely polite and professional. We will use the same company for our hardwood floors and tiles, and I just regret it will be a different team, as I really would like the same crew to come again.

First meeting went well. Set up a date and time to have the rooms installed and when the day arrived, I had to call them to find out where the installers were as they were already a couple of hours past our scheduled time. Spoke with our salesperson who informed us that we we're install #2 for the day. When we purchased, there was no other install for that date. Seems there was a mis-connect between the office and the warehouse. Still that did not make for a happy customer. Hopefully they have corrected that.

I was extremely satisfied with Carpets in the Park.  The workers were punctual and the one day they were a bit delayed, they phoned ahead to let me know.  Each of the employees was very polite and easy to talk to.  They were all diligent workers. They were so easy to work with.  I love the way they feathered the existing hardwood into the new planks.  You cannot tell where the new begins!  It was a very professional job.  What also impressed me was their immediate responsiveness when I asked them to fix a small area.  They were back the next day!  It was a pleasure working with Joe.  He answered all of my questions and worked with me to schedule the installation at a mutually convenient time.  I recommend Carpets in the Park to anyone who wants a high quality job at a very reasonable rate.

I purchased a new home and the three bedrooms needed new carpet.  The owner explained how important the padding under the carpet is and also brought several really nice samples.   I decided on the type of carpet, the owner arranged to have the carpet installed approximately three days later.  The carpet installers were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 - 10:30 they arrived at 11:00 but they did call to ask if being a half hour late would be ok,  i agreed, they arrived and were fast to work.  The carpet was completely installed in approximately four hours, they cleaned up the area, wasted no time, and completed the job.  The installers were professional as well.  I would recommend iCarpets in The Park to anyone, in fact I've already past the business name and contact on to a couple of my co-workers.

It went alright. The guys knew what they were doing and were hard working and professional. Here's the problem..I ordered the " hollywood " wrap on my stairs. It is more labor intensive and costs you more but that is what I wanted. The other option for stairs is called the waterfall look. It is not wraped but drapes over the stairs for a flowing look. Since I couldn't actually stand on the stairs while they were working, it was impossible for me to watch them. They did not install the stairs the way I wanted. They installed it with the waterfall look. When they were done I told them what they had done wrong and the responce was that " nobody told them"  . At that point they were done. I paid them minus the cost of doing the stairs in a wrap and off they went. I called Joe when they left and he assured me that he had told them to wrap the stairs and offered to have them come back and fix it.  I declined.  As far as I was concerned the job was done. I was pressed for time getting the room ready for Christmas so it was what it was. It's not that the stairs look bad because they don't it's not the look I wanted. The cleanup was lacking also. There was quite a bit of crapet pieces that I had to vacuum up.  So to sum it up.   They did a good job of putting the carpet in, just not the way I wanted it. The cleanup should have been better.  I suppose I would use them again. They are much better than Luna, who I used before and would have my grandmother install my carpet before I used them again.
One more thing.... I ordered a commercial carpet because I wanted a tough long wearing carpet. I had wanted to put in a berber. It's only been a month and a half and I there are quite a few threads popping up. That bothers me. Go with your first choice.

3 men arrived on time and finished the job before the end of the day.
They were very efficient and careful in their work and took no breaks, not even lunch.
They did an excellent job and we would certainly have them do carpeting for us again.

Filled out online estimate request on Friday and received a call from Joe five minutes later. Less than 5 minutes after that we had an appointment for an estimate later that same day. Joe came out to the house and assessed the floors and told us what he could do for us and that we could have somebody out That coming Monday. On Monday Florian and his crew arrived, I picked out the wood stain and later that day we had beautifully restored floors. Joe even called to follow up the next day!
