BILL'S GARAGE DOOR SERVICE

Pros: Young man named Ben arrived within 10 minutes of time. Ben was very kind and professional. Ben repaired door. CONS and CONCERNS: Ben quoted me $1,120 for repair before even looking at door. Job was completed in 30 minutes with NO PARTS NEEDED? just adjustment. Ben came in marked pickup truck with no name badge nor uniform identifying him. AFTER repair was completed, he tells me ?the company does not take checks.? (Website CLEARLY states you take checks). I got out my credit card. He then says ?company charges 5% for credit cards.? That is NOT stated on website. I am in business also. I told him that credit card fees are generally around 3%. He admitted that the card company only charges 3%, but the garage door company charges 5%. I said, ?so the garage door company is making a profit on the credit card fees as well.? He first said ?not really,? but then admitted they do. Next, he wants me to pay using Zelle. Well, payment did NOT go to Bill?s!

One of my 26 year old Sears Craftsman opener went kaput . Decided to replace both openers with Liftmasters . Bill junior did excellent work and highly recommend . Ken from Mundelein

It went great. Bill was very helpful in picking out a door style and the door was replaced within just a couple days.

We had problems with our new garage doors and found out they had been incorrectly installed by another company. I phoned Bill's Garage Door Service and we talked through the issue. His son came within a couple of hours and identified the problem. Our garage doors were reinstalled the next day as good as new. Quick efficient and friendly service at a competitive price.

Bill Jr. was able to come less than two hours after I phoned. He was prompt, polite, and professional. The job took longer than he expected, but it was done well. The price was fair and competitive. He didn't sweep up afterwards but, like I say, he had spent more time than expected.

Great local family-owned company. Bill diagnosed a broken spring over the phone and his son Bill arrived within a couple hours of calling as promised. Gave very fair price upfront, completely work in timely fashion. Also performed additional services, such as lubing and fixing drive belt on opener. I highly recommend them and would call them again in a minute if/when the need arises. Great job Bills!

Well - it was unstuck in an efficient and timely manner

This was a great experience.

It went great. Bill came out at the time stated, told me what needed doing and how much, all very up front. He did the work inside of an hour, the door works great and we are very happy. I will certainly use Bill again and recommend him.

Bill replaced the very old opener with a new Liftmaster using the existing track and door and adjusted--works great and much quieter! Fast and efficient work clearly explained. Yes, I'd recommend to others.

Showed up on time, on short notice. Had the part and repaired the door perfectly. Even greased and replaced a couple of worn wheels.

Called Bill's and asked them to come take a look and see what needed to be done. They came out promptly and surveyed the situation. Bill made adjustments to the track, lubricated everything, performed routine maintenance on opener and spring and replaced a couple loose screws. Garage now opens smoothly and quietly. Honestly best it has performed since we built the house!
