ACME HEATING CO

On time and  on budget. One day install. My home was left as clean as it was before they arrived.

I have a home warranty and ACME was the provider. I had no heat. The repairman called me when he got the information and, because he couldn't get there immediately, walked me through the steps to relight the furnace. It was a little scary, but he did a wonderful job of reassuring me and I got it done. When he came to do the work, he explained everything to me in easy-to-understand language, showing me each part that needed to be repaired or replaced. He got the furnace working, ordered parts, and came back promptly to install the replacement parts. Throughout, he was friendly, courteous and professional. He also assured me that a prior service company's assessment that the furnace needed to be replaced was (as I had suspected) bogus. He showed me where the information on the furnace's age was, and it was not as old as the other guy had told me. I couldn't have been more pleased and I intend to use this company in the future for maintenance checks that are not covered by the home warranty.

Very pleased with service and quality of work provided. We have always perferred working with smaller, more personal companies and have used Acme for a number of years to nurse along a very old system, and finally to completely replace it . They have always been punctual, professional and willing to give good advice. Very nice people to work with.

They were very responsive, professional and punctual. They finished the work quickly and cleaned everything after the work was done. The price was comparatively reasonable and they did a good job.

OUR PILOT LIGHT WENT OUT MORE THAN ONCE SO I HAD A (DIFFERENT) COMPANY COME TO INSPECT OUR FURNACE. THEY SAID THAT MY FURNACE SHOULDN'T BE USED--BUT SHOULD BE CONDEMNED BECAUSE THERE WERE CRACKS IN SOME OF THE S-SHAPED CELLS. I CALLED ACME FOR A SECOND OPINION. RONNIE PATIENTLY LISTENED TO MY STORY AND SPOKE OPENLY. WHEN HE CAME TO INSPECT THE FURNACE, WE SAW THAT HE HAD GUESSED CORRECTLY AS TO THE MANUFACTURER. RONNIE TOOK TIME TO TRY TO DETERMINE WHY THE PRIOR SERVICEMAN CRIED ''CRACKED CELLS,'' RONNIE WORKED TO PROVE TO ME THAT MY FURNACE WASN'T GOING TO BE LEAKING CO INTO OUR HOME. I KNOW LITTLE ABOUT FURNACES BUT THOUGHT THAT RONNIE SOUNDED CONFIDENT IN HIS ASSESSMENT, AND HAD A REASONABLE PROTOCOL FOR TESTING HIS ASSESSMENT. I FELT SECURE ENOUGH THAT HIS OPINION WAS CORRECT TO KEEP THE FURNACE ON/RUNNING, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE FIRST SERVICEPERSON HAD DECLARED IT TO BE ''CONDEMNED''. MY TODDLER AND I WERE STAYING AT HOME THAT AFTERNOON SO I NEEDED TO BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL.
