They were very prompt responding with a quote and were here within two weeks, or so, to do the job. D&R completely removed my old roof and installed the new roof, with new vents, in one day. Very professional roof installation job and they did an excellent job cleaning up after. A hard working crew indeed.

They indicated it would would be 2-3 weeks before job could start and then called a week later to indicate they would start the job. They said they would put a haul away bin in the driveway but did not do so before the work began. So they laid tarps over my day lilies and shrubs - it was quite a mess and broke some of the lilies. Bin arrived toward the end of the work day on Friday. I wasn't aware, arrived home late Friday how much work had been accomplished but in the morning found that the majority of the roof was covered in felt but not tarped - we had weather prediction for rain over the weekend.
I thought they would return Saturday, but did not return until Monday (light rain over the weekend). On Monday they arrived around 9am but before they could get started, another bad storm blew in and it rained hard all day. When I went home for noon lunch I found water all over my oak floor in the den and a constant drip from the ceiling overhead. After mopping up the mess and putting out a bucket to catch the water, I called and informed them of the problem, and reminded them I had asked about tarping the roof. They indicated they would fix any damage and came out around 1:30 to inspect and went up on the roof to tarp around the fire place chimney and seal the area where the water was now coming in (roof had not leaked with old shingles. I was replacing my roof as a preventative measure.)
The felt was soaked and had ripples in it, and when I pointed this out they said I didn't need to worry because you can and quot;roof in the rain and the felt would dry eventually.and quot; The next day they came back and finished putting on shingles over the wet felt. They also had to go up into my attic and remove the wet, damaged insulation and then go to the hardware store to get the replacement insulation. I had to vacuum after each trip into the attic so that my dogs would not accidentally eat any small insulation pieces. They offered to spray the ceiling (where water leak was) but I said no I would wait for it to dry and then paint it myself.
They came back the next day to clean and asked where the haul away bin was. I told them the operator had shown up at my door around 8am to remove it, I told the operator I didn't think they were finished, but he said he had directions to take it, so I moved my car from the driveway so he could haul away the bin. When 2 of the roofing crew came at 9am, they asked me where the bin was and I explained they guy had picked it up. The roofing crew was upset because they had stored their ladders and some of their tools in the bin. They asked if they could borrow one of my ladders to finish the clean up while they tried to get hold of the wasted hauler. The roofers cleaned up for the most part, but I am still finding an occasional roofing nail in my drive way and garden beds as I clean up leaves and weed. There were also pieces of shingles they missed that had fallen in the flowerbeds.
The roof has not leaked and seems to be fine. The finished look is good and I am satisfied with the final outcome.

I am very pleased with their work the roof looks great! They were punctual, professional, and the price was very fair. The sky light ended up needing replaced as well and despite the old ones odd size they were able to get a replacement fitted with no problem. I would recommend and will use again if needed in the future.

The contractor arrived on time and it took him about 30-40 minutes to replace both sets of shutters. It was a very steep roof and I didn't feel safe climbing on the roof. Plus, buying a new ladder would have cost more than they were charging me. Since their ad says they are fully insured (which I felt was very important for this task), I felt $100 was definitely worth it. Both shutters looked good after they were replaced. The contractor seemed very knowledgeable about siding and shutters as we talked about how to maintain them. When he was finished he took the old shutters away (I did not have to dispose of them). Overall, I was very pleased and would call D&R Roofing again. One thing to note as an FYI, it did take them a few days to get an estimate to me after I initially contacted them (I'm not sure if this is fast or slow) - just be aware they might not be able to get you an estimate the very next day.

My experience with him was fine, except that he said he would come back to do a minor repair and he has not come out yet. I thought the company was good. They came out on time and were professional. The price was competitive and good. I guess the quality is good; I do not know much about it. There are no leaks. I would use them again in the future.
