I'm in the store every two weeks at least.  Always nice, always helpful, knowledgeable staff, helpful management, broad range of products.  Fair pricing.  I do ALL my home improvement shopping here.

I picked up a bunch of insulation on sale.  Menard's prices are very good but when they have a sale, I feel that none of their competitors come close.  Everything I needed was available and they had a very large selection of insulation to choose from.  So I got everything I needed at a very good price with no hassle and no wait.  What's more to say, it was a very positive experience.

Menard's has a very good selection of quality paint at best prices.  On this specific visit I got 8 gallons of paint in 3 different tints and a gallon of varnish.  As has always been my experience, this time also the paint desk person I dealt with was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and very willing to help.  I did not have to wait long for the paint to be mixed and used that time to also ask about the high quality external varnish that I needed.  I have found that when it comes to prices Menard's is hard to beat most of the time, yet carries a good selection of quality merchandise.  I typically use Menard's almost exclusively for most of my home improvement project supplies and always find what I need.

They had just the doors that I was looking for.  Since the doors came with white hinges, I had to custom order different hinges.  Since I was ordering a large quantity, Menards worked with me on the price even though the doors were already on sale.  A couple of the doors, which they did not have in stock, took a little longer to arrive than I hoped for but other than that everything went really well.

The last few months I have been renovating my basement. I have purchased a lot of stuff and go there multiple times a week, even multiple times a day on occasion, to the point where half the staff waves hi to me when I walk in. The staff overall is very well trained, friendly, and knowledgable, from managers down to employees, to the point where if I describe it they can find the right product, if that isn’t practical they brainstorm with me to find other ideas in mind. I feel so comfortable there. I feel I’m receiving very fair prices and and in my opinion they blow other home stores out of the water. They even make the return process so easy. Whether I used my Menards card or check their system can always find my receipt even if I don’t have it.

Their automated exchange doesn't always work and it's a pain in the ass if you have to go back in and get a refund, but I'd still give them an A.

They are knowledgable about the products in the store.  They are very helpful and pleasant.  They have great prices and good hours.

THE KITCHEN DESIGNER ON-STAFF WORKED THROUGH A CUSTOM ORDER (SOME CABINETS HAD TO BE REDUCED FROM STANDARD DEPTH) WITH ME AND MADE SEVERAL VALUABLE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT CABINETS I MIGHT CONSIDER USING. HE CAREFULLY DOUBLE-CHECKED ALL MY MEASUREMENTS WITH ME AND WENT THROUGH MY ORDER LIST TO MAKE SURE I WAS ORDERING EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND THAT WE'D CALCULATED IT CORRECTLY. I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL PAID. THE CABINETS CAME IN A LITTLE BEFORE THE PROMISED DATE. THEY LOOK FABULOUS IN MY KITCHEN!

MENARD'S STAFF ALWAYS ARE EFFICIENT, PLEASANT, WELL-STOCKED, AND WELL-PRICED. I MUCH PREFER MENARDS TO ANOTHER HARDWARE CHAIN; BOTH ARE WITHIN 1/4 MILE OF MY HOUSE.
