Didn't know if I needed a new top or if the table top could be refinished. Table top was damaged by screws that were to long being used to fasten the table top to the base by the previous owner. First got quotes from a place listed on Angies list in Arlington Heights on Northwest Highway, they wanted a higher amount, E.J. Self quoted a lower amount so I went with him. Table top turned out absolutely beautiful, cannot tell it had been damaged. Work was done in the original quoted time frame.
Only thing I'm not crazy about is that he put feet on the wooden table legs; we did not discuss doing this, my husband needs to remove them and put felt pads on instead to protect our wood floor; our wood floor company advises that thick felt pads are much better than nylon feet. Had he brought this up I would have told him not to do this and saved us all a little work.
