Our past projects include everything from custom carpentry jobs to complete home renovations and additions. Our specializations include, but are not limited to, the historic/vintage homes of the north shore. Whether you need to repair something old, or build something new, our attention to detail can make the new work tie in seamlessly with the rest of your home.
We've worked with Kevin on a number of carpentry projects including framing for a fireplace mantel, mantel installation, trim scribing on a very uneven, 100+ year old floor, and attic framing/attic pulldown installation. Other professionals, including the owner of our HVAC servicer, have commented on the quality of his work and have asked for his referral. Kevin is always prompt, always courteous, and highly professional. I always have the utmost confidence when working with Kevin that the work will be done to the highest standards. He does not take shortcuts and prioritizes executing projects properly when attention to detail is critical. Kevin is one of the best professionals we've worked with and I highly recommend him.

The words bait and switch are the keywords in this story. Kevin was hired to remove and replace a storm door with a new Anderson door product. Kevin showed up with the door, However, after his employee tore off the old door he realized he measured wrong and he had to order a new door. They had to put the old door back on and it took them about 6 hours in total time. Once the new door came in it took weeks for him to get back to install it. Finally he showed up and put the door in, and only then was it discovered it was not the agreed upon door. It was a Larson door instead of Anderson, and the door was installed horribly. Total time of the project from start to finished was roughly 8/9 hours. After the job was done I paid him the agreed upon amount of 500 dollars. However , Kevin tried to up the amount to compensate himself for the error he made in measuring a door. A couple months after the install the cheaply made sliding screen/window broke and would not slide, so he was contacted to fix the roller. Winter was on its way and he dropped by to put the window up and that is where his warranty stopped. He was contacted about repairing the door and he stated that he charges 80 dollars an hour with a two hour minimum . After numerous conversations with Kevin and reminding him he said he would stand behind the door it was clear he had no intention of doing so. The worse part about this story is that he scammed a 89 year old widow, and that is despicable. For a experienced carpenter to do what he has done is criminal In my opinion and to take 8 plus hours to install a simple door should be a warning to others of this mans ability or lack of and his word of standing behind his work. Look elsewhere for honest tradesman , there are plenty of them out there he is not one of them.

Though I swiftly paid him in full for his unwillingness to return for a last (half) day of finish work, it was to prevent him from filing a lien against my property deed. And despite his excellent workmanship skills and that of his very young apprentice, it is his unreliability, his adamant denial of obvious & aggressive damage to a wood sash window, his unwillingness to easily repair that damage and his withholding of information about his poorly cut lumber and bowed lumber... that cost me the most time, trouble & frustration for no good reason. He asked for his check on the last day of work, knowing that he would not return for the last half day of finish work offered up-front in his own proposal. And I gladly wrote that check to avoid any further trouble with him. Do not leave him alone in a room to do work. Supervise him at least in the last half of his work.

Prompt and courteous. I had a complicated TV cabinet that needed assembly and mounting to the wall. Any missed measurement would have been detrimental to appreciating the aesthetic of the cabinet. The cabinet was assembled and hung to perfection.
