Accent Flooring

The best experience! I mean, who wants to live in a house while remodeling, right? Especially when you are refinishing floors! The dust, the moved furniture, the smell of the varnish?! And still, refinishing about 800 sq' of hard white oak, took a grand total of 3 days, including clearing the furniture and setting up back! Cornel was amazing in doing fast, quality work! He also was very careful in sealing the area with plastic and tape. This way the amount of cleaning we had to do was minimal. He also used a water based varnish, which smell way less than the polyurethane one. We lived in the house during the work, with small kids and a disable senior, and nobody complained about the smell - a make or brake point for us! The price was right as well, at least 10% under a few other estimates. Very happy with the way it went, and we will use Cornel and Accent Flooring again soon for our living room area!

Everything went smoothly: from the initial visit to the pricing, to the execution of the job and everything looks awesome. Cornel told us upfront he couldn't do the job right away but since my husband used him before and we liked his way of explaining things and his price we decided it was worth the two weeks wait and it definitely was. We will definitely use him again.

He installed the flooring in our basement.  One guy came out and he did it all within four hours.  We got all the materials and he did a great job.  He came studied the situation and then did the work with no problems.  I would say if you have any issues with your flooring this is the man to contact.  He will evaluate the situation and take care of it with no issues.

We had purchased wood at Menards and he recommended another place (A American). The quality at the other store was so much better and about the same price. If it wasn't for him I think we would not have liked our finished product. He worked us into his schedule and we had a deadline because we were getting furniture moved him. He met our deadline. Quality was great, timeliness was great, overall great experience.

The project went very smoothly and the results are beautiful. He completely sealed off the work area to minimize dust. He cut up the carpet into strips and removed them. He then patched all carpet tack strip holes. He sanded, buffed, and varnished the floors. He was very professional and always returned my calls asap. He asked for no money until the job was completed. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

Constantin had recently done a beautiful job on living room/bedroom floors. I called him after he had completed his first work to find out if he would be available to come back and refinish more floors immediately following. He completely transformed the look of my apartments, and did a beautiful job. He was able to give me the same price per square foot that he had given me for the larger job he had just completed, and was able to quickly schedule me between two larger jobs. As before, he showed up on time, was paid half on the day he started, ended the job on time/early, and was paid the balance at completion. Constantin knows his customers will be so satisfied with his work, he doesn't hound you for money to hold a place on his calendar and doesn't hound you at completion because he knows his work is so beautiful you'll have no issue rushing to write him a check for the money you owe. He was very fair in price, very easy to work with over both email and on the phone, and would love the opportunity to work with him again. I've never had a project go so smoothly and wish I had some more flooring projects for him to do!

Constantin came out on a Saturday about a week before I had hoped to have the work done. He provided me a price very quickly after his visit, and there was absolutely NO pressure to make any commitment. He asked that I leave a key and half the total due on the first day of his work. We communicated primarily through email, but in the few occasions we did talk on the phone, he was immediately accessible. He showed up on the date as promised, and sanded and finished living room floors for 3 apartments in just a few days (shorter than promised). While working he taped off doorways to other rooms since 2 of the 3 units were occupied. He also cleaned up after himself each day. His work was so gorgeous- there wasn't a flaw anywhere, and he was very meticulous so as not to harm existing moulding and trim in any way. He completely transformed the look of my apartments and my tenants (and me) are estatic with the work that he did. Working with Constantin was a pleasure and everything happened exactly as planned, exactly on time and right to the dollar. On the last day of the job (I didn't realize he had finished early), he wasn't hounding me for money or calling to check in. His work spoke for itself and I gladly wrote him a check that night and left it in the mailbox for him the following day. He made what could be a very stressful project soooo easy, and painless. I would HIGHLY recommend Constantin/Accent Flooring.

Service was great. Communication was great. Cornel dealt with my wife. He responded quickly to our online inquiry and arranged an appointment to visit and prepare an estimate. He provide an estimate in a couple of days. The cost was very reasonable. We had several follow-up questions and Cornel was very prompt in replying by email. He showed according to schedule, even calling us the night before as a reminder. He was very accommodating and did a few extra things to make it easier for us at no extra cost. He told us to expect up to 3 days for the work but he finished it in 2 long days. The floor looks great. We're very pleased.

Cornel (Constantine Chitulescu) came promptly as scheduled to give us a bid, and then came when promised to perform the work. The work went fast, and, despite our being on the fourth floor of a walk-up, he lugged his equipment and supplies with good humor. After the floor dried, we found a small area which he missed, and called him. He sounded shocked that that had happened, and asked to come by later that day so that he could return with whatever he needed to fix this, although we had made clear that this was in a dark corner and it was NOT an emergency. He was extremely apologetic, and came by the next day to make the repair. We plan to have him return next spring to refinish the rest of the floors. We were very pleased with him.

Cornel is a true craftsman and professional. He always showed up on time, got the work done in less time than he estimated, and the floors are beautiful. He had to match the color to the flooring in the rest of our home, and he did that impeccably. He is incredibly kind and even helped us move all our furniture in and out. He also cleaned up so well that there was hardly a trace of dust in our home. I highly recommend Accent Flooring and Cornel Chitulescu!

Cornell is a very professional and polite person. He came on time and answered all our questions. Our floors look impeccable. He also sanded and varnished a sideboard for no added cost. We highly recommend him.

THE TWO WORKERS WHO WORKED IN MY HOUSE (ONE OF THEM WAS CORNEL, THE OWNER) WERE THERE IN TIME FOR 5 OUT THE 6 DAYS THAT THEY SPENT IN MY HOUSE. THE DAY WHEN THEY WERE LATE THEY CALLED TO LET ME KNOW IN ADVANCE. I GOT THREE ESTIMATES BEFORE I DECIDED TO HIRE THEM, AND THEIR PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. THEY ALSO LEFT MY HOUSE CLEAN EVERY DAY (I DID NOT HAVE TO STEP OVER TOOLS OR DUST EVERY EVENING WHEN I WENT HOME).
