Williams Roofing & Insulation Inc
About us
We'll make sure your home makes a striking impression, adding the greatest curb appeal in your neighborhood. Attention to detail, quality products and quality craftsmanship is key. Your choice of roofing material is an important decision when protecting your home from the elements, bringing out the beauty and extending the useful service life of your roof system. Remember, anyone has the ability to drive a nail through a shingle, but if that was all there was to proper shingle installation, we would not be replacing roofs installed by others that are failing only a couple of years later! We only use the best materials for our roofing projects. They include: Certain Teed (Bufftech), Duro-Last, Elk Corp, GAF, James Hardie, Owens Corning, Tamko, Quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are our top priorities and have been for all the years we have been providing quality roofs for residents of the Chicago area. We install, insulate and repair roofs in Chicago and all of the suburbs around the Chicagoland area from Lake Bluff to Calumet City to Naperville to Crystal Lake. "Williams Roofing & Insulation Inc. is committed to provide the highest quality of service and we want our customers to be happy! We have made multiple attempts to complete Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s roofing project. We have issued a refund of $773.60 to Ms. [Member Name Removed]. Ms. [Member Name Removed] signed her contract with us back on December 10, 2016. The estimate was $6,200.00 for house and garage. This does not include wood replacement. Before signing a job, we go over the possibility of needing wood replacement and a worst case scenario. We received a $2,000.00 down payment to order material and dumpster. Ms. [Member Name Removed] said her homeowners insurance threatened to drop coverage if her roof was not addressed immediately. She requested that we install her roof for her on Saturday, March 18, 2017. We held up on our end of the deal and were at her house on Saturday March 18, 2017. We tore off her roof. Her roof decking was in extremely bad shape. She was given the choice to shingle over the existing wood that is in horrible shape or to replace her existing wood at a $1.70 per square foot as stated in our contact which she had in her possession for three months prior to the job start date. Ms. [Member Name Removed] said she did not have the money to do the work yet wanted it be done with the wood replacement. Ms. [Member Name Removed] insisted she could buy the wood cheaper herself. We offer better prices on our material because of the quantity we purchase. This would also further delay the job being done with her home exposed. She then wanted to put a tarp on her house for a year and think about it. The price for wood replacement was $2.460.00. The total cost of the project for home and garage including gutter apron and wood replacement was $8,975.00. Williams Roofing & Insulation Inc. then deducted $375.00 so we could continue the job! The shingles were off and there was no roof on her home. The cost after our deduction was $8,600.00 plus she will receive reimbursement at the end of the job for unused plywood at $54.40 per sheet. She paid the balance of $6,600.00. The crew immediately purchased the wood. The roof decking on her home was replaced. We did not have enough time to finish her roof on Saturday because of the events. We secured felt paper to the roof making it water tight for the short term. We scheduled to come back the next business day which was on Monday 3/20/17. On Monday 3/20/17 the crew arrived ready to work. The roof would be inspected. Dry felt would be installed- the crew brought felt paper with them. Ms. [Member Name Removed] was argumentative, and she threatened to stop payment on the checks. She would not allow the crew to finish the roof. She was threatening to call the police. The crew left. At that point, other plans were made to start another job on Tuesday 3/21/17. We let Ms. [Member Name Removed] know we needed her checks to clear. On Wednesday we told Ms. [Member Name Removed] we want to finish her roof. Ms. [Member Name Removed] said she filed a claim with our Insurance Company, they will take care of it and she is canceling the job. On Thursday 3/23/17 Williams Roofing & Insulation Inc. went to Ms. [Member Name Removed] home. We told Ms. [Member Name Removed] we want to finish her roof or at least make the roof water tight for a more long term solution. Ms. [Member Name Removed] told us to leave and that she wanted her roof left exposed. She threatened to call the police. A police report was made to "document that {our} company was attempting to finish the project {we} were contracted and paid for" ([Member Information Removed] police report filed 3/23/2017). Williams Roofing & Insulation Inc. has attempted to and wants to complete her roof."
It went excellent from the point that we spoke, to the estimate, meeting with him, having the roof installed to the clean up. Highly professional. I would highly recommend him.
