I will not be returning to Punchlist as a customer due to my recent experience with them. I am a returning customer, I contracted with them 3 years ago and everything went smoothly. So, I thought that when signing a contract for a 2-week project in Sept 2023, that I expect the same experience. Not true. The project managers at this company are the entire reason for the 1-star review. The work we had completed was solid and enjoyed our experiences with the 3rd party contractors who worked on our condo. But the reason we signed a contract with Punchlist was to have a company manage the process of multiple work elements coming together. The customer shouldn’t have to do as much work, if not more, than their project manager, but that was the case here. They fail to do basic elements of their job like completing change orders on time, informing you of when workers show up, starting project on set date, or staying on top of project status. Issues with our project • Paid deposit in Sept 2023, project manager could not figure out a start date through Oct 2023 which resulted in them pushing into 2024 due to upcoming holiday season • Numerous contractor no shows where the project managers NEVER reached out to inform us as we sat at home waiting for the contractors to show up. Had to reach out to find out they were not coming on the day stipulated by Punchlist • Job estimated to take 2 weeks ended up taking 6 weeks due to project manager missteps • Failed to submit change form for stone slab in 2023 and tried to get us to pay difference in stone class despite being in Class C at time of signing contract • Project delayed by a full week because project manager failed to confirm stone choice with 3rd party countertop installer, resulting in the installer cutting the wrong stone, bringing it to our condo and us being without a countertop for a week • Project manager told us tile installation would only take a day. Installer had to inform us that it was a two-day process • Through the entire process not either of the project managers came out to confirm the quality of work their 3rd party contracts performed • Multiple miss communications to 3rd party contracts for project materials and start dates • Failed to communicate the proper materials to the tile installer, resulting in them pausing work to fetch materials they could have grabbed earlier Spoke to the owner about these issues and he didn’t care how much his project managers messed up. He put the blame on the 3rd party contractors they hired to do the work. From this experience I would have just hired the 3rd party contractors myself as it would have saved me time, money and stress.

The initial intake with Punch List and start of the project was fine, but I am paying for my education of working with contractors. First of all - beware of the contract as it authorizes them to take payment even if you are not in agreement that the work has been completed for the milestone. The biggest problem is that their work caused a continuing periodic knocking/banging noises in 4 units in my building and they refuse to take responsibility. They cleared out on 9/14/2023 so we are still very much in the 1 year warranty period on their workmanship. They have come twice to try to fix the issue, the first time tightening a nut and the second time taking apart half my kitchen cabinets and then acknowledging they still hadn't fixed it but that it was on other people. They did not respond to any messages for a week and refuse to take responsibility claiming it was an "existing building condition". Other things were annoying, like being left without a working shower in my home for 10 days, the sloppy paint job in both bathrooms, leaving doors to the outside open, and the amount of dust/rumble left after they were gone. There also was no walk through or checking that I was happy with the work at the end, they rushed out before I had a chance to look at anything in the second bathroom.

They were prompt and the only ones who showed up when they said. They did a first-rate job of covering exposed pipes with soffit creating a segment of wall to cover the pipes. They did an excellent job and cleaned up well afterward. I will recommend them and use them, again.

Punch List sent Bob out to open our entryway ceiling and diagnose the problem with shower water leaking through. Bob was early for the appointment and professional. He told us Punch List would contact us shortly to send out a plumber. We didn't hear back from them that day, so I called and left a message. They called my husband and said they don't do plumbing. Their website says they do plumbing; the person they sent said they do plumbing. We now have a hole in our ceiling and are apparently on our own to get the plumbing repaired (hopefully the Angie's List-recommended plumbers will work out!)

We purchased a house with a horrible situation around the kitchen sink. Due to water leaking from the pipes under the kitchen sink, the base cabinets were useless. Also the kitchen plumbing was taking up a lot of space inside the cabinets instead of in the wall where it should be. After removing the cabinets myself, Punch List came in and replaced the floor that supports the base cabinets. They moved the plumbing inside the wall and installed drywall and installation. The work was done very quickly and effectively. We also called them later to install new base cabinets for an additional price. Everything was very professional and quick. The customer service was amazing and we have already called them to do additional work.

Bob came to do the estimate, and was on time, answered all my questions, and gave me a few options. I like to do most of my repairs myself so he was patient with telling me what I could handle or not. He preferred to demo my kitchen ceiling and replace it at its existing height - the right way to do it - but when the crew arrived they suggested dropping it a few inches instead to avoid the mess of demo, and I was on board after considering that the insulation might contain asbestos. I was a bit bummed when that came with extra cost just a few hours into the project but it turns out they would have had to drop it a few inches regardless because there wasn't enough space in the ceiling for can lights.
The crew was awesome - Fergus in particular - showing up on time every day, working hard, and cleaning up after themselves at the end of each day. I had even set up a makeshift kitchen in our dining room expecting to be more inconvenienced than we in fact were.
In both rooms they left me with raw drywall (at my request) so before and after pictures wouldn't make sense - they did a great job though, and I would use them again.

Background: a shut off valve in my home office went bad and cause water leakage. A plumber came and fixed it, but left two holes in the drywall. There's mold developing on some baseboards and those needed replacing as well. The plumber gave me the number of a contractor who "charges reasonably". He came and quoted $700. I thought it was ridiculous so I called Punch list, which I used a year ago for some big jobs which I was very satisfied with. I told Jim I'd write a review on Angie's list but was too busy to do so.
This time, Dave from punch list did a great job as expected. He was very efficient and careful. He cleaned up nicely after he finished. It took an hour less than the estimate given by the office. I paid almost 50% less than what I would've paid if I used the plumber recommended contractor.
Dave did show up late because of some serious delay from the previous job, but the office called me in advance so I was fully aware. My overall impression with Punch list is that they are even better organized than a year ago. Their handymen are consistently professional, courteous and honest. If they can't do something they tell you right away,  unlike some other contractors who would promise "yes we can definitely do this and that" then call back and say "sorry we can't" or never return. If I have some other problems in the future Punch list will always be at the top of my list.

Excellent.  Most of these repairs were due to the original contractors improperly performing work.  I have used them four times now, and each tradesman has been thorough, efficient, and pleasant to work with.  On one call the repairman felt the electrical piece of the job was more complicated than expected and he called to check the availability of another worker who had more expertise in that area, rescheduled it and I wasn't charged for the trip.

Gustavo and another guy came to fix my outlets. They were punctual and very courteous. I had two ceiling light fixtures that were not working and they came and quickly found fried wires in the attic that feed into these outlets. They had to rewire and repipe the lines because the old ones were not usable. They worked in the dusty attic and did not complain at all. They even replaced three outlets in the attic, which was a huge surprise because it was a great idea, which i have not though of. The work took approx 5 hours, and they clean up after themselves. These guys are nice and would recommend them.

Went flawlessly. They showed up on time, got the work done quickly, even faster than expected. They were very thorough and would definitely use them again in the future. Provided an accurate quote and they definitely knew what they were doing.

Fergus came and was great - they were on time, courteous, and looked to do things the best and most efficient way. Initially he thought the shower head job was to take maybe 4 hours, but when he came the next day he had done some research and said he was going to try something else which would take significantly less time and expense. I was impressed with the initiative and desire to save me money!

I'm two for two for great experiences with Punch List. I had them come out two different times - the first time for four hours with Dan; the second time for one hour with Fergus. Between the two of them, they assembled and installed shelving, installed coat hooks, hung a mirror, installed three light fixtures, and repaired three doors (with three different problems).
None of the projects were hugely complicated, but they were able to complete them all without any complication. In fact, everything came out perfectly. Both Dan and Fergus are extremely professional and courteous; they put on booties when they came in the house, and they worked quietly and efficiently.
