I have worked with Hynek multiple times both at my home and investment properties. He recently did a job for me. As always, the quality was excellent.

Our brick garage was in serious need of rebuilding on the south wall. Hynek Construction did a fantastic job of dismantling the corner and middle pillars and replacing 5 brick courses below along with some tuckpointing. Installed 9 pieces of new limestone copings as well. The crew was second to none working expertly, and tirelessly in 90+ degree heat. The garage looks great and will stand the test of time! Clean up was also done with care. I highly recommend Hynek Construction if you are in need of brick/mason work and want it done expertly.

From beginning to end, the quality of the initial consultation with Hynek, the cost of the estimate, the tear down and rebuild was outstanding. The men who did the tear down came on time and worked tirelessly to maximize their efforts at the house. The gentleman who performed the rebuild were high quality craftsman-masons who really know how to work with concrete and bluestone. I was very impressed with their attention to detail. The guys took their time and worked meticulously placing the stones in a symmetrical pattern. I am thrilled with the final outcome. My front stoop which is pretty big is now a stunning, strong and solid rebuild that will last for years. Thanks Hynek.

Working with Hynek was easy. He was super responsive when I called about my project, promptly sending over a proposal with estimates. We then spoke to finalize the scope of work. There were some miscommunication on the start dates but they were resolved quickly over emails. His crew was on time, professional and showed great care in their work. The tuckpointing was a needed facelift for my 100 year old building and the walkway came out great! I’d definitely use them again.

I was very pleased with Hynek's work and professionalism. They did tuckpointing and repairs on two chimneys, one of which needed to be rebuilt from the roof line up. The work was done expertly, efficiently, and was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

Booked late last season, knowing we might not get the work done as temps were dipping below freezing. But Hynek kept us on the top of the list for this season, even though we weren’t the biggest of jobs. His team did quick work, and kept the work areas clean. Work was done as described and he matched the grout on the tuck pointing very well. Wouldn’t hesitate to hire again for future masonry needs.

They were quick to come out to give a quote and complete the work when we asked for a fast turnaround. Looks like good workmanship. We needed tuckpointing and replacement of broken and missing bricks

The bricks on the front porch are better aligned with the rest of the house than when they were put in by the builder.

Hynek's crew did an excellent job. They disassembled the bad courses of brick (18-20 courses) and relaid those courses with new brick and tuck pointed as needed. They showed up on time as scheduled and cleaned up nicely when finished. Highly recommended!

Hynek Construction did a fantastic job replacing damaged bricks, removing loose mortar, grinding out cracks with a hand grinder and tuckpointing where necessary. They did an excellent job matching the mortar color in my 100+ year old home. All done for a fair price. Highly recommend!

Hyneck showed up promptly at the scheduled time to give us an estimate. Out of all of the estimates, he was the most comprehensive and gave options at a fair price. He was the only one who took me up to the roof to show me the issues and and how he intended on addressing the issues. As soon as the permit came through he started working. He was a good communicator with text and pictures of the progress. He also made sure to clean up after the workers. I’d hire him again or recommend Hyneck to my friends.

We had agreed on the scope of work. In the three estimates I have obtained prior to starting the work, Hynek Construction price fell in between two other estimates favoring the low side. The work included regrinding all mortar joints between stones of the chimney due to their age and cracked chimney crown. The joints were re-mortared, the cracked crown was repaired. New caulking was applied around the chimney flashing. The entire surface of the chimney was sprayed with water proofing liquid. The work was done in two timely trips, efficiently and in a professional manner. The workers cleaned up after completion of the job. I was very satisfied.

Hynek and his team did an amazing job removing and replacing our old, cracked concrete. It was very helpful that Hynek took care of the permitting process. His team took extra care to ensure that the concrete was sloped correctly to make sure water moved away from the garage and towards the alley. Each day they made sure the job site was clean when they left it and they were back the day after the work to remove the forms and replace the dirt that was removed adjacent to the work. This is the third time i've used Hynek, the first two times were to replace my front walk up sidewalk and the repair of bricks on my foundation. I highly recommend his work.

Hynek & his team were great to work with. They were quick, professional and the finished chimneys look terrific.

Hynek was very responsive when I asked him to come and provide an estimate. He came to the house without having scheduled a time because he was in the area. (This was fine because the estimate had to do with exterior work only.) It didn’t take him long to see the problems. He later provided an estimate by email. After that, we communicated via text. At the expected time, Hynek texted me to schedule the repair date for the following week. The work was done by a crew and took about a day and a half because of rain delays. The chimney looks fantastic -- almost brand new, and this is a 20-year-old house!. Hynek explained that the crew had also ground the rust out of the metal inside the chimney in the hope of stopping further rust. I should mention that Hynek is very, very busy. He was especially busy this summer because of the severe damage done by tornadoes in the area. So it took a couple of months for Hynek to do the repairs on our chimney. He explained that he gave priority to people whose chimneys were demolished by the high winds of that awful storm that came through the area previously. This is understandable. My chimney was in no immediate danger. I highly recommend Hynek Construction for any kind of chimney repair. He and his employees are highly skilled at masonry and concrete repair. They are also very friendly and seem to enjoy what they do. I feel the price was reasonable given the extent of repairs.

Great job. The guys were on time, worked all day, cleaned up at the end of each day. Steps look like new, brick work rebuilt, cannot tell what areas were tuck pointed they did such a great job. Will definitely use in the future. Not the cheapest but the best.

They rebuilt the front parapet wall and one of the chimneys on our three-flat building.
