The owner of the company is the absolute worst person to deal with (Mike). He's ignorant and extremely unprofessional. Shows up at my house asking for more money because the company quoted me too low. (He was not in the right state of mind if you know what I mean.) He eventually agrees to do the fence at the original quoted price and signs a new contract. The day the fence is to be installed, his crew shows up with the wrong size fence. The owner then tells me that he did not have any 7ft lumber so deal with it. Would not work with me on price at all and stated that he wont correct their mistake. He then said that because I would not pay more money initially, he wont put my fence in. Please save yourself a disaster, and go with another company!!!. On a small side note, everyone else besides the owner was okay.

Moving to a new area and no information to go on, I called a couple of companies to gain some information to help me make an educated consumer decision. The cedar mill from the office staff to the salesman all the way to the installation crew, I could not be more satisfied. I had no idea what I wanted or how it was to look. Each step, they helped guide me and offer options I had not even thought about. The end result is fantastic, I am the envy of all my new neighbors. I can not stop showing pictures to all friends and family. It was definitely like something right out of a designers magazine. Thank you so much to the cedar mill for making the beginning of my new forever home a beautiful and enjoyable start. 5 stars are not enough.

My fence was installed LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. We paid over 1,000 to have our fence pre stained because we have a large lot and they PRAISED the pretreated lumber and it makes your fence least 3-5 years longer. well Cedar Mills response to poor quality of work is **we dont have the main power to fix our faults but hey we will give you a free bucket of stain** (one bucket wouldnt even cover all my problems!) WOULD GIVE 0 stars if possible

Very nice fence installed well by a very good, polite crew. We're very happy with it.

Fencing was good but not happy with all the hooks and hidden cost that you get on the day of installation. I was told everything is good and I had nothing to worry. On the day of installation their crew comes in and demands $200 to remove few branches of the tree, I pay them expecting this will deducted from my invoice. When I called their office to pay the amount I was told by Deborah (rudest person you will find in this planet) that it?s between the crew and the client and they will not reimburse. Why would you not inform the client ahead of time if anything was to be cut or removed. Cheap way to make extra bucks

Cedar Mill installed my stained cedar fence in 2018. Iâ m just slow at doing reviews. The quality of the fence material, design and construction was outstanding. The installers were quick, quiet, courteous and clean. It still looks stunning 3 years later. I highly recommend them.

Booked them three months in advance, paid 20% down, and then 3 months later they said they could not do the job because they need it cleared out more, which they had already agreed that they would clear out what was there. More was cleared out than when we signed the contract. We asked them to stop by and show us what needed to be done. They never showed, stopped answering emails, and calls and now we are stuck without a new fence. Horrible company!

We have not had the work done yet, but just wanted to send out a review about the representative, Evie, who came to our home for the estimate. She was great! Friendly and professional at the same time! Explained everything in detail, helped me with decisions, gave us a great price! Canâ t wait to have the fence installed, so happy we called Cedar Mill Fence Company!

Fence looks great!!!!

Offering to pre-stain a cedar fence is an unbelievable advantage. They use a commercial stain that lasts for years. Having a new cedar fence installed that doesn t require staining maintenance for years is well beyond what I d expected coming into the install. Also, using a dry concrete gravel mix should mitigate post rot. They are a 3rd generation, family run business and do quality work at an affordable price. This is why it s great to shop local with companies like this. No big box or major brand was going to beat these folks on price or craftsmanship. We couldn t be happier with the finished product. It looks great!

Quality work and very knowledgeable installers

Very pleased with how my fence turned out! Though Cedar Mill installs many cedar fences, they also do aluminum, and they did a great job with it as you can see! The workers were very kind and respectful. They also did a good job cleaning up!

Highly recommend Cedar Mill Fence Company. I met with Mike, the owner of the company and he supports the military and gave me a great price for stained red cedar arched fence. But his workers made it look amazing. I just love it.

Sales man never called me back.

Installers did a good job. Had to come back a second day because they didn t receive all products for the job. They said would come back at 9 next Business day. I rescheduled my business day. Called office at 9:30. Person said they were coming that day- but had no idea when. After I pushed a few times said had no way of knowing. Finally after suggesting that she call the team, she said she would try and let me know if she could. Frustrating.

Worst business experience we ever had. The contract never lists their warranty, so it is only verbal. We hired Cedar Mill to add an additional aluminum fence next to an existing aluminum fence. They erected the fence with a few things left to be done when we realized over half the posts had paint jobs that were defective with grayish brown discolored spots, big blotches and large patches, and every post had numerous nicks, dings, scratches, scrapes, and scuffs which were not from installation. Most of the posts looked like they were dropped or dragged on gravel and none of the posts were acceptable by any standard as new posts. They either under or over poured the cement (not concrete because they never used aggregate like sand or small stone). The second day after a torrential rain that filled the holes to the top with water, they just shoveled Portland cement and 1+ inch stone into the holes mixing everything with a big rod overflowing everything into the grass. They were a foot off on one side of the fence making the adjacent side angled. And if it wasn't bad enough, every post was not acceptable, a part of the fence sections had either bad paint jobs or excessive scratches. They tied into the existing fence voiding the warranty instead of putting up a post next to it and then they defaced the existing fence by tearing off the stickers of the other company peeling away the paint. They laid the four gates with plastic on the grass for two days in 90+ degree weather burning out the grass and the plastic adhered itself to the gates which requires chemicals to remove the film. They were supposed to remove the dirt and put our handles on the fence which was in the contract, and when my wife talked to Mike, he said they don't remove dirt unless we pay for it and if we put our cheap locks (actually expensive) on their fence that he won't warranty it. I was angry that he got hostile with my wife and his comment to her was Dan only works here and I am the boss who makes the decisions. We called the salesman Dan out and he suggested they could paint all the posts which was not acceptable. When I asked him if he would accept the job at his home, he said he wouldn't. I told the salesman that it looked like they bought the fence and posts from a second hand sale. The salesman took photos telling us he would talk to the owner and get back to us with a solution later in the afternoon which never happened and by the next morning we still heard nothing from the salesman. Since we only had a $200 deposit and the fence was not yet totally finished, we fired The Cedar Mill via e-mail and certified mail requesting they remove their fence, posts, and concrete from our property, and we never heard from them again. We hired the company that did our original fence to do the job for us the correct way. In order for the other company to install the new fence we were forced to take down the Cedar Mill fence, remove 36 posts using an auger down 36 inches below ground, t
