I did not do a lot of comparison shopping, but I felt like I was getting a really good value in the long run because his detail is excellent! Brian, who is the owner of the company and the person who does most of the work, is on site 100% of the time. He also has other people that work with him on a full time basis. They have been excellent in regards to attention to detail and communication. In regards to when I made changes, he discussed the price changes instead of just telling me on the back end. He has been very honest. He has a very creative mind in the way of being able to look at something and make suggestions, instead of just a contractor or employee that just says "tell me what to do". He does anything with masonry; whether it is a fireplace or wall. He has an extensive list of things he has worked on. His company basically now does anything with masonry. Update: I would recommend entering a written agreement stating final payment will be made upon completion of the job and outlining a clear understanding of the scope of work. Update: Brian ended up completing a large job for a friend after our fireplace and they had nothing but positive things to say about Brians level of detail and quality of work. In addition, we later had some minor cracking (not due to workmanship) and Brian came out and fixed it free of charge. I would definitely recommend Brian and use his services again.
