I have a top of the line five year old water heater. I paid $1,100 because it had a 10 year warranty and it was supposed to be self cleaning. This is the third water heater I've put in since 1979. I have never had problems with the no name heaters like I have with this one. He didn't honor the warranty and charged me $92.00 for nothing. The company that I purchased the water heater from demanded that I use one of their people to see if it would be covered by the warranty. I don't want any other people to be charged like this and not have repairs done. The guy told me it was going to be very expensive and be a long process to get rid of the noise that I was hearing from the water heater.
