K9 University

The class began with 9puppies of various breeds. There were a total of 7 classes, meeting once weekly. By the fifth week the puppies were expected to sit, go down and stay, with the owner dropping the leach and walking away from their pup. My 4 month old cairn terrier would sit, go down, but refused to stay, instead following me. The exercise was repeated numerous times. I received no additional help, but just stood there while the remaining students did the exercise. I was disappointed, but hate to not finish anything.

The next week was even worse. I had practiced daily and had no problem with my pup doing this at home. Four students remained and we stood next to our pup, told him to,sit, down, stay, drop the leach and walk around the room. My pup and another ran to the side. The instructor grabbed mine and the other and body slammed it to the floor to make him stay! I was appalled! For the remainder of the class, my pup would sit, go down, but the minute I left his side, ran into a corner and refused to move from there.

Needless to say, I didn't return for the final class, not wanting my pup traumatized again! This guy is abusive to the animals! Stay away!

The 9 initial students had dwindled to 3 by the final class! This speaks for itself!
