GREASE SPOT

Took my car to a oil change shop because i was going to take my son to Chicago to catch  a plane the next day. When i got to Chicago I started hearing noises and was panicked because Iwas so far away from home and didnt know what to do. Decided to drive slowly and try to make it back home to the Quad Cities. Now keep in mind that the last thing I would ever guess that could be wrong was oil because Ihad just had it changed the day before. When I finally rolled into the QC my check oil light came on. I went to the first place that I could find and that was The Grease Spot. Thechecked the oil and it did not show on the dipstick. I explained that I just had it changed so the manager said " Well, lets put some in, then drain it out and see what you have because it isn't showing on the stick." They put 3 quarts in and then drained it out  and 3 1/4 quarts came out. The place that I had gone to the day before did not fill my oil up. I was shocked. They then looked at the oil and of couse could see small shavings in it which probably meant I damaged my motor. Well, ever since then, I have been burning oil because I unknowingly  ran it so far when there was so little oil in it and damaged the rings.  I go in and they top it off for me whenever I need it in between oil changes. Tony is the manager and all of the guys there are very friendly and helpful. Even when I go in for a top off at no charge, they always clean my windows and check tires. You just dont find service like that anymore. 5 Stars for Grease Spot
