Repairman showed up early and was very professional and conscientious. He replaced cord that was recalled on dishwasher. I will definitely use this company again if I need an appliance repaired.

I called at 9:00 Friday morning. Darin said they were busy but would try to get to me the same afternoon. I told him I would appreciate that since we were out of town the next week and wanted laundry done before then. He said they would shoot for 2:00 and call me if there was a problem. The repairman showed up promptly at 2:00, made a quick diagnosis, had the part with him, and quickly made the repair. Very polite, prompt and professional. I would recommend Darin's Appliance to anyone looking for a fair, professional repair service.

It never worked right, but I was charged for the work.
Response from Darin's Appliance Service
"First off, I serviced the gas range in September of 2000, and again in December of 2001. The service was to address the oven temperature. I diagnosed the issue as a faulty oven thermostat. I obtained and installed a new oven thermostat, checked operation of oven, ok. I then heard from the customer on November 26, 2001. At this time I was informed that the oven was overheating. I inspected the oven and found that the oven thermostat was at fault. I then put another new oven thermostat in the oven and tested it. It held the temperature properly. Then, even though the original replaced oven thermostat only had a one year warranty, I decided to cover the part under part warranty. This means the customer was not charged for the second oven thermostat. However, I did charge for normal in home service fees just as I did on the first service call in December of 2000. I never heard anything more about the servicing of the product or it's operation until I read this Angie's list review here in 2013. I have the service history to confirm the work was done as I say it was. The customers review is inaccurate."

I noticed that the food in the door of the freezer of my side by side
refrigerator was thawing. I assumed I had left the door ajar, so I made
sure nothing was keeping the door from shutting and closed the door. I
checked 2 hours later it was still thawing, but it was still very cold.
Next morning I called the store where I purchased the Amana
Refrigerator, they had someone call me but unfortunately they could not
come out for 7 days. I called the store back and asked them to find
someone else. They called back and said Darin's Appliance would call me
the next day. One hour later Darin himself called and asked what was
happening with the refrigerator? I told him it was continuing to run and
run (I could hear the fan) but it was not freezing. I had also noticed
thick frost on the back of the freezer compartment which I had never
noticed before. He said it sounds like a defrost problem and he
mentioned 3 parts it might be.I told him I was worried what it might
cost. He said he charged $75 for the first 15 minutes and $10 each
additional quarter hour plus the cost of the part. He said he would be
here the next morning. I pleaded Can you please come sooner? He
apologized but he would not be able to get here until after 2:30pm.
(SAME DAY SERVICE). It was 2:30 on the dot when Darin came in, he took
everything out of the freezer, put it in a box and we covered it up
with towels to keep the cold in. Then he went to work taking the shelves
out putting them into my kitchen sink, he removed the back of the
freezer and it was completely clogged with frost. He used a hair dryer
to get rid of all the frost and removed a part (thermostat) he showed me
how the part had bulged and explained that was the problem. He went to
his truck to get a new thermostat. It didn't take him any time to put the
new part in and put the back of the freezer back. What took the most
time was getting rid of all the frost.
Darin is a very nice, clean-cut and gets right down to business.
