I have had a couple of home claims that were handled well overall. The local reps however, have nothing to do with anything when you make a claime you get handed off to a representative from somewhere else. The same occured with the couple of auto claims. This is ok as my claims were handled in an efficient manner, however when you look at your local rep as basically then just giving you quotes and handling questions regarding coverage, getting you replacement cards, etc. you would expect them to do it well. I had very good service with this office for numerous years. The ladies there were always very gracious and if they did not know an answer would find out and call me back in an acceptable timeframe. Over the last 12-18 months I have had the opportunity to speak with a newer gentleman there and have been very dis-satisfied. He has been rude and unprofessional. My son who was on my policy received a notice that his coverage should be costing him less, so call in to discuss with representative. My son called the office and spoke with this young man. He told my son a particular dollar amount as a new quote. My son gave me this info and so I called into the office, asked to speak with this person and found that the info he gave my son was based on an old vehicle that we no longer have. When he found this out he was very rude and said well I did not realize that and there is nothing I can do for you. I thought this odd sense he was the one that initiated the contacts and should have all of our info on the computer as all of our business is with them. He made no apologies for leading us down a path that was an incredible waste of about an hour of my time and for arguing about the fact that the vehicle he was calling about was no longer on our policy and had not been for over one year. We had a second occasion to deal with this same person when my son who is in the military was getting married. He and his wife bought a new car and I told her to call this office as we have always had good luck with them and the protection they offered was reasonable. She was treated again very rudely by this same individual who would not give her a quote for the new car because she was not a current customer and insisted she would have to agree to the policy before he would give her specific costs. I turned around and called back to find out why she was told this, only to be treated the same after all of my years of utilizing them for multiple policies. I called a few days later to cancel all of my policies with them and was basically told ok, thanks we will have that terminated within x amount of days and that was that. I did return a survey with this same information on it and have never received a call or letter regarding the bad service. I don't think this office really cares about the individual customer. Too bad!!
