Unprofessional/Unsatisfactory repairs. Family without AC during extreme heat wave In 2018, I had a complete new air conditioning unit and furnace put in. In order to maintain the warranty I agreed to have integrity maintain the unit once a year for the cost of $300 per scheduled maintenance through the company. One technician in particular that Integrity sent out to maintain the system broke my dryer vent and did not clean up after he worked on the unit. One scheduled maintenance he spent approximately 30 minutes to complete his job, which seemed to be rushed. As a customer I requested that that particular technician not be sent out to my home again and I was told that he was no longer employed by integrity. On June 17th a technician was scheduled to come take a look at our unit. At first The technician stated that there was a Freon leak and had quoted $1,100 plus the cost of Freon which was $300 per pound (our system needs 5 pounds). In speaking with the technician, after I suggested that I had heard a buzzing / wheezing sound the technician further diagnosed that the TXV valve was bad and needed to be replaced. I was then quoted $1,280 without the freon. I was then told that particular valve was not under warranty and also was not in stock and needed to be ordered. I then spoke to the office secretary Bridget and asked multiple times for the breakdown of the invoice and also inquired if we could come to a mutual agreement, considering I had kept up my end of the deal for the warranty. Having it maintained through the company Integrity by a certified technician. I also inquired to speak to the general manager, again to come to some sort of agreement. I have made several attempts to contact the office and I keep getting the runaround and usual excuses. I have yet to speak to the general manager. I was however sent an email on Wednesday June 18th, which gave me the description of both invoices. One service was not necessary for the unit per the technician, and the other invoice was what needed to be done. I was told in order to get a $200 discount that I needed to have both sevices completed on the unit. I contacted American standard and they opened a case, I spoke with Dominique and the case number is 332401. Also on another note, per Integrity policy on their actual website, they offer to put your family up in a hotel if they cannot make it to your house within 24 hours and repair your system within 24 hours. I was never offered that. I also relayed this information to Bridget, who in turn replied with I didn't know we offered that. According to the American Standard website Integrity is not on the list of their trusted HVAC professionals. The following businesses are listed as American Standard Dealers in my area. Comfort Heating and Air located out of Mokena, Maertin Heating located out of Mokena, Kulacz and Sons Heating and Cooling out of Peotone, Always Ready Repair located out of Palos Park, Service II INC located out of New Lenox, and TR Miller Heating and Cooling out of New Lenox. Be advised integrity is also located in Mokena but not listed as an authorized American Standard dealer according to American Standards website. Myself and my significant other both work in law enforcement and we deal with quite a bit out in society, needing some sort of relief when we come home is essential. We also have our children and pets (one of them a K9) that are in the home! We have also had to resort to eating out as much as possible in order to keep the heat down in the house which is not financially sustainable! Completely at a loss and this is my last resort. Pease assist us with getting the repairs done properly per the warranty. If any more information is needed please reach out.
