 + -1 moreTerrible, took money did not complete work, ignored us for months. I have filed a claim with State attorney General for fraud/breach of contract.

 + 0 moreHe took our money, made a lot of promises of what he would do, never showed us any actual plans, and never did any of the actual work outlined in our contract. Any appointments he made with us were either not kept at all or he arrived hours, sometimes days late. The final straw was when he wanted to renegotiate the cost for the work clearly outlined in our contract. As of today (1/22/18), none of the contracted work has been done. On 11/22, we talked with an attorney who confirmed this company had clearly breached their contract with us, we should terminate our relationship with them and request a full refund of our initial down payment. We are now trying to get them to refund our initial down payment, but so far, they have made no attempt to refund our money. They have acknowledged they owe us the money and made commitments of when the money would be returned. However, the dates they give us continue to come and go, with no refund being issued. Both the BBB and HomeAdvisor has tried to intervene on our behalf with this vendor and both have now closed their files on him. HomeAdvisor has officially dropped him from their network and the BBB has added the proper cautionary warnings about this vendor to their website.
Description of Work: We contracted for an extensive home remodel. The bid amount was for $99,441.46, with a down payment of $52,000 at the time of signing our contract on 10/2/17. We also agreed to an additional $6,400 for structural work that was discovered after the contract had been signed. Contract was signed and check was issued on 10/6. This vendor, although housed in Illinois, operates in Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana.
