He gave us drawings..... not structural drawings for an addition he was to do for us. We submitted to our HOA, they approved it, and he was to do the work last April 2012. He didn't obtain the permits to do so until July, however he took 15,000.00 of ours and dropped off a few pieces of plastic piping, and then NOTHING..... no more contact whatsoever. Then in November he decides to bring by the window that he supposedly special ordered for us (it was not wrapped or encased in anything to support the window) - and it is still sitting in our garage, unusable as it has warped since, due to no structural support for it. The weekend before Thanksgiving, he came over and ripped out all our front bushes and tree and was to at least start on the porch he was to also add, in addition to the addition above our garage. We are still waiting for that front porch, with a barren front facing on our house (not a pretty sight by any means). I would NOT recommend this person to anyone, nor would I trust him in any way. He, in addition to all this, is our NEIGHBOR, which makes it worse. So, we are out 15,000.00, and he is totally MIA - cannot be found. Good luck to anyone who tries to use this person.

I am not sure where to begin. This was every homeowner's nightmare! What started out as a two week job turned into several weeks of frustration. The tiler that Dave Williams used damaged our new refrigerator and dishwasher by denting and scratching while tiling. Tiling in bathroom shower had to be replaced twice since the tile floor sloped away from drain. We hired a professional tiler to fix mistakes. He found a bucket of broken tile in our drain from A+ Remodeling. No wonder the drain backed up. Owner initially was seldom on site, then when he took over he would work for a few hours and leave. This happened repeatedly on a daily basis. We spent more time on phone asking where he was. He installed new white trim throughout our home and damaged several because of bad measurement. This was followed by spilling stain on our brick driveway, putting hole in screen door, throwing garbage in our garage for weeks that piled to ceiling. The last disaster we discovered was our sliding door trim was installed over blind brackets. Since they damaged the fabric blinds, when we went to replace them we couldn't remove old brackets! This is just a summary of mistakes made by A+ Remodeling.
Description of Work: Removed tile and installed new tile in kitchen, hall, bathroom. Remodeled bathroom, installed shower, vanity, toilet and tiled walls and shower.

Dave was very reluctant to get a building permit for Lemont. It was obtained only after my husband insisted, and would not let his workers dig out the wall without it. The laborers and Dave were anlways late by at least 1-2 hours. Dave was supposed to waterproof the outside cinderblock walls but only did 3 sides and not the front of the house. After the work was finished I found things that were not cleaned up, such as old bricks, pop cans, coffee cups. I did not call him back because I DIDN'T WANT HIM BACK IN MY HOUSE.
Description of Work: replaced a ciderblock wall in the basement, and waterproofed the wall also surrounding walls. The original price was to be 5,000.00. Do to other problems the wall cost 10,500.00. Dave ,the contractor, said we needed to have a structual engineer to evaluate the wall due to a pending home loan. So we paid for alot of recommendations by the engineer.
