I called to set up repair for Electrolux high efficiency front loader washer. I was told he does not do work on front loading washing machines.

However, to fux it, it was going to cost $380. So we decided not to fix it.

I have been using this provider for years. He has replaced garbage disposals, installed and repaired dishwashers as well as serviced our washer and dryer. He is always very professional and timely. On one occasion, he was on vacation but arranged for another provider to cover his workload. On this latest venture, we had a dryer that just stopped working. This was a very old appliance so I wanted a quote as to the cost of the repair or even if it was worth it. The dryer had been repaired on one occasion but was around 18 years old so it didn't owe us anything. When contacted by phone, the owner scheduled an appointment for the same day. He was on time. After assessing the condition of the dryer, he recommended replacement rather than repair. I trusted his opinion on this as he has such a good track record with our family. His charge was less than normal as he was unable to complete the repair. I would highly recommend.

Promptly called me back and came as soon as we could both get together. Very efficient. Had the item in his van, so it only took a short while to repair the switch.

I called Strandlund first thing in the morning and told them I had an appointment that afternoon that I needed to work around for the service call. They called back in a couple of minutes saying the tech would be on the way then. Thorough explanation of problem and quick repair. Service was great all-around!

It went very well. He put in a new igniter switch because the dryer wouldn't heat. He also cleaned out the front of the dryer vent for me because I had cleaned out the rest and couldn't get to the front part. He was done in no time.

Service was responsive, punctual and completed quickly. I have no issues with the repairman or the repairs made; my only criticism would be that some portion of the $68.00 service call should be put towards the labor. The repair in my case was rather simple and the repairman was very sure what was needed (hence there was no need for diagnostics). The entire service call, arrival to departure, was probably less than 45 minutes. I paid $35 in parts, $2.65 tax on parts, $9 in labor and $68 for the service call. I recognize that fuel and overhead are significant costs, but perhaps labor kicking in after an hour of work would be more palatable to the customer. While pricy because of the service call charge, I was very pleased with the overall experience and would definitely consider, if not use, this business in the future. I'll recommend to friends or neighbors, but I would explain my thoughts with the pricing.

I called yesterday and got an answering machine. He called back within an hour and made an appointment for 8 am today. He arrived on time and efficiently did the task. He was friendly and even gave me a little advice about my dishwasher. He repairs Maytag, Magic Chef, Jenn-Air, Admiral, and Whirlpool appliances.
